Saint-Étienne-du-Mont is a church in Paris, France, on the Montagne Sainte-Geneviève in the 5th arrondissement, near the Panthéon. It contains the shrine of St. Geneviève, the patron saint of Paris. Frame measures 8 by 6 inches. Hornby (1882-1956) was one of the founders of the "Rockport School" and named the popular fish shack at Rockport (MA), "Motif #1." He was a master etcher in the tradition of Whistler. His favorite subjects were France and the Cape Ann (MA) region. Printed on light tan paper of high quality. Frame: not vintage. St. Genevieve Patroness of Paris, born at Nanterre, circa 419 or 422; died at Paris, 512. Her feast is kept on 3 January.
