Apricot/Peach mix is a very vivid blend of peach, coral, salmon and blush tones. Papery pompon-like flowers on well-branched, heavy blooming plants. Superb in flower arrangements and perfect for dried flower crafts. I have grown these with the Silvery Rose strawflower for a very eye-catching combination. 36-40" tall. Annual. Full sun. Heat and drought tolerant. Seed sowing instructions: Indoor sowing is recommended as this plant takes 75-85 days to bloom from seed. Sow seed indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date on the surface of a moistened, good seed-starting mix. Cover seed lightly with fine grit or seed-starting mix, provide light and keep moist, in warm temperatures, 70-75 degrees F. They can then be transplanted out when large enough to handle and temperatures stay above freezing. Alternatively, seed can be sown outdoors after all danger of frost. All seed counts are approximate, but we strive to overfill pkts. Seed sold by volume. We only ship to the 50 states in the U.S.A. If ordered outside the United States the order will be canceled.

Tulip Mania A visual tour of the tulips we are growing this year. Some of them are new varieties for us and so I have posted some photos from the net, thank you for sharing Google folk. We plant in succession, that means we plant early, mid-season and late blooming varieties in three different environments--heated greenhouse, hoop house and outside. In theory, the early varieties in the heated greenhouse will be the first to bloom and the other varieties will bloom in succession. Then the early tulips in the hoop house (unheated greenhouse) will begin to bloom, creating the second wave of tulips. As the last of the late bloomers in the hoop house bloom the early varieties outside will also begin to bloom, giving us 10 to 12 weeks of tulips. That means that not all varieties are available at the same time. Blooming over a long flowering period extending from early to late summer (if properly deadheaded), the flower stalks rise elegantly from a handsome rosette of gray-green leaves.
