Nacido en Levis, Canadá, en 1953, se crió en un ambiente propicio para las artes, aprendió muy joven a pintar. De 1973 a 1976 estudió dibujo y pintura. En 1979, ganó una beca destinada a promover el desarrollo de las jóvenes promesas. Expuso en la Galerie Archambault desde 1981. Emmanuel Garant tiene excelentes cualidades como retratista. Por otra parte, es a través de esta técnica con la que mejor se expresa. Esta ruta fue trazada por su madre que fue capaz de hacerle ver el regalo que había recibido. Sin embargo, se ha forjado un estilo personal que los amantes al retrato apreciarán. El arte de Garant oscila entre el arte y el retrato íntimo de fondo realista. Sabe descubrir la frescura a través de los rasgos faciales y componer para resaltar un detalle conmovedor por el cual la pintura toma su carácter íntimo. ENMANUEL GARANT Emmanuel Garant nace en Lévis, Canadá el 5 de junio de 1953, estudió pintura con su padre André Garant y con su madre Louise Carrier, ambos célebres pintores de Quebec. Creció en un entorno propicio para sus esfuerzos artísticos. Matin fleuri En 1979 recibió una beca de la Fundación Elizabeth Greenshields. Ha expuesto sus obras en varias galerías de arte de Quebec, muy destacado como retratista. Ha logrado forjarse un estilo personal que disfrutan los conocedores. Al igual que Renoir, ha sabido descubrir la frescura en los rasgos de una persona y llama la atención sobre un detalle en movimiento desde el que toda la pintura dibuja su carácter íntimo.
