Aurora is a 32ft light sculpture created for the Little Italy District of San Diego California. The kinetic wind blow outer shell of Aurora is made of hundreds of Polycarbonate panels that are textured to mimic traditional rolled glass and are coated with holographic material called Dichroic. The result is a unique optical effect that changes the reflective color (Bronze> Gold> Green> White) and its transmissive color (Blue> Purple> Magenta> Amber) based on the viewers perspective and orientation of the Sun.
