A few weeks ago I posted this little picture on my Instagram. You might have seen it. A student of mine desperately needed a visual schedule on her desk and I (being a lover of all things providing closure such as check marks), created this tabbed schedule so she could easily close the tasks as they […]

This past Sunday we participated in Next Generation's BBB on Isle of Hope. Scribble helped kids create artwork that would later be hung in the children's wing of the hospital. I love when I get the chance to combine art with a great cause. I had to come up with something that would work for all age and experience levels, plus the event was outdoors so I had that to factor in as well. Here's what I came up with! The background is made up of layered tissue paper! The center of each flower is stamped, using sticker back foam mounted on cardboard! I kept the petal palette limited to bright, happy colors. Scrap fabric leaves were added as a final touch!

Happy Saturday My Blogger Friends! Today I'm going to share the SUPER FUN Halloween Treats that I made for my two daughters to take into their fellow co-workers for Halloween. My daughters work with some amazing PEEPS and like it when I include treats for their peeps along with the holiday treats to the grandkids. Here is what I made for my daughters............ I made these fun mummy treats! They come together SUPER FAST with the help of a fun (now retired) Stampin' UP! punch. This punch was retired last year.....but it happens to currently be in the Stampin' UP! clearance rack and can be picked up for around $7.00. (http://KadieLabadie.StampinUp.net) To create these fun little mummies.....You just need to punch out two of the above punched images with Whisper White cardstock. I then assembled the bottom and sides together......Leaving the top open. Next I distressed the edges of the mummy holder and also of the 1/8" stripes of Whisper White cardstock (that I used to wrap several layers across the front panel to look like mummy wrapping). Here's a close-up of what the bottom of the mummy looks like! The mummy holds a Hershey nugget........ That I wrapped with a piece of Whisper White cardstock. The only other thing that needed to be done was to add a pair of goggly eyes to my mummy and he was DONE! So here's what the batch of mummies for my daughters looks like. SO STINKIN CUTE and SO STINKIN FUN to make! Thanks for joining me today! I'll be back tomorrow to share with you the Halloween Treats that I made for my five California grandkids. Hope you can make plans to stop back and join me for that share. Keep Living Your Dream!

All the printables were created with a bee and beehive theme for this post. Next week will be the last post in this Beatitudes series and will be all preschool. For this Bee bulletin board, I combined the flowers with the bee theme, and it made a beautiful, fun board! There are different ways to use this bulletin board. The board above is 4'x8', which I love and have used this style/size for a lot of years. I used grass border along the bottom, but I added two layers. It looks great and it adds dimension. Then, I alternated the flower stems 'growing in the grass' under each layer. I also added the tree branch printed on brown cardstock for the hive to hang on. You can print the template here for the tree branch. Instead of using the bees as an interactive bulletin board, I just stapled them with the correct flower. But there is a space on the flower centers to add Velcro and let the students add the bees as a review for the Beatitudes. Print this bulletin board here. I also added bees with the student's names, since they love to see their names on bulletin boards. Then, I let them take their name tags home when the board is changes. If you would rather type in the names on the bees, you can purchase the bees here. You can print the name bees here. This Beatitudes worksheet is a beehive that the students will match the bees to the correct verse on the hive. You can print it in color or black and white. This is a lot of fun for them! Click here to print Kids love these accordions! Once they are printed and cut out, glue the ends together using the tabs. Fold Zigzag style and let the students fill in the blanks. You can print these accordions in color or black & white. Click here to print. While I was creating the above beehive worksheet, I thought it would make a really great file folder game! I added the parts in this download if you would rather use it as a file folder game. Click here to download the file folder game. And since I love lapbooks so much, I created the matching Bee Beatitudes lapbook. They are fun Lift-the-Flap's for the students. They can finish each scripture inside. Or they can finish the scripture on the top inside flap and write a basic summary on the bottom inside portion. Click here to print the lapbook. Throughout the first week of school, our focus during math is introducing 2D shapes. I made some fun posters to help my students remember the names and properties of each shape {and they referred to them all year long!} {clip art from Love Two Teach borders from Teaching in a Small Town} My class absolutely loved these! We learned each poem and talked about the characteristic of each shape. We even learned that Sandy Square has a booooyfriend ;) {Download the shape poems here and ignore the fact that I clearly need more ink ;) I copied 2 to a page so that they printed out smaller than a regular sheet of paper.} After we learned about each shape, I hung the posters up in our classroom for future reference. We also played this super fun shape game! After we met our new friends and talked all about the shapes, we sat in a big circle {applying what we learned about circles!}. Then I walked around with a bunch of shapes in a bag and had each student pull out one shape. They told their neighbor what shape they pulled out {to practice identifying and to help their neighbor if they weren't sure} and then we played the Shape Game! After everyone had a chance to stand up, we switched our shapes and played again. It was a lot of fun :) To see what else we did during the first week of school, visit my blog, Miss Kindergarten!

This week's post for the Beatitudes I am posting this month has assorted printables. I have some that were created with the flower theme, and others with the bee & beehive theme that will be used for all of next week's post. Honestly, I was getting too much for one post, so added some here! I saw the ideas for the flowers being used for The Beatitudes at a Teacher's workshop. I created the Bulletin Board/Visual first, then started adding everything else! You can see the Interactive Bulletin Board here. It can also be glued to a poster board, then saved to reuse easier. Click here to download. I love File Folder Games, and so do the kids! All ages love them! They are easy to store, and everything is stored right with the folder. They can be used over and over! This one is the same concept as the Interactive Bulletin Board you see above. So, these can be used instead of the Bulletin Board if you would rather. The directions are in the download for easy assembly after printing and cutting. Click here to download. The kids love lapbooks too! It takes prep work for you if you are using them in a Bible class, but they are worth it. They are used a lot for homeschool teaching, and the students can cut and assemble themselves as part of the project. These have the first part of the scripture on the front flap, then the inside is blank. The kids can finish writing each verse. Or they can do that on the top inside flap, and a short summary on the bottom inside flap. There are instructions in the download. Click here to download. You can see directions on making a lapbook here. These are basic worksheets for The Beatitudes. The students will draw a line from the beginning of each verse (left side) to the correct ending of each verse (right side). There is a really plain one, more appropriate for older students, and is black & white only. The other worksheets are draw a line from the bees to the flower and they can be printed in color or black & white. Click here to download. I created this Beatitudes Scripture Journal to be used for homeschooling, or this would be great if you are teaching each beatitude separate. It is too much to use for one lesson only, though. Each Beatitude page has the scripture, questions to answer, space for drawing and space for student to write a summary. It will make a really nice journal if you bind the pages or add them to a notebook. The download has color and black & white. This is a big set of worksheets, so please let me know if there are any typos. Click here to print the Scripture Journal. If you like this Scripture Journal, you might like the Creation Scripture Journal found here. Thanks to the readers and Cornerstone Confessions for making this post one of the Most Read Features!
