Facebook Live was so much fun last night. I created three projects for my followers using the Free as a Bird stamp set. I believe they especially loved the Bridge Fun Fold Card. If you missed the live, you can view it here. I am happy to say that the Free as a Bird stamp set is being carried over to the new annual catalog. However, the Designer Series Paper is not. That includes the Bird Ballad DSP as well as the Parisian Blossoms DSP. I would recommend that you grab it while you can. The first project I created
Ooooh, the birds in the Free As A Bird Stamp Set are so stinkin' cuuuute!
The September SU! Colour Challenge is so fresh and bright. A perfect way to welcome Spring in Australia and the beautiful bird calls I'm hearing recently. I have coloured the Stampin' Up! Free As A Bird Stamp set with both Stampin' Blends for the image and a Coastal Cabana Stampin' Write Marker for the Background with a Water Painter. I punched the images using the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch matting them into Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. The Hand-Penned Petals sentiment is hand cut with Paper Snips leaving a halo. I added the 2 images and sentiment to a piece of Vellum on top of a piece of Expressions In Ink Speciality Pale Papaya Paper. I placed this piece on a matt of Basic White with a Pear Pizzaz card base. A few Clear Elegant Faceted Gems to finish the card. It's the time of year when we say goodbye to one set of In Colors and HELLO to another. I had my first chance to play with my pre-order last night, and well, once I got started I didn't stop! Here's my take on the new colours, I knew I would like Rococo Rose.... after it is a PINK! I was pretty sure I would be a fan of Purple Posy.... and are! Then there was Terracotta Tile, it would be my least favourite, but then I do struggle to use any form of "orange' in my creations. I wasn't sure about Pretty Peacock, but its a lovely variation to the current range of greens and teals, I'm sure it will get plenty of use And lastly, but definitely not least is Seaside Spray, I am blown away by this colour, pastel yet bright, I just love it! There you have it, the new 2019-2021 In Color Collection - what's your favourite? Oh I almost forgot, those beautiful birds are from the Free as a Bird Stamp set, and the Hexagonal die cut are the Stitched Nested Labels Dies - my first set of the new dies, they were fabulous to cut with, I didn't even need a shim (but every BigShot is a little different). Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. So I thought I’d be clever and make a card and video showing you how to colour images from the Measure of Love stamp set. But as I’ve come to write up the blog post, the Measure of Love has sold out.
On Thursdays my Border Buddy Patsy Waggoner (from US) and I share a card on our blogs that we CASE from one of our catalogues. CASE = Copy and Selectively Edit. I find that when I start with a project created by one of the wonderful Concept Artists at Stampin' Up! I find my mojo! ... Read More about Just in Case Recap July 2019
I wanted to share with you a card that I’ve made for the Colour INKspiration challenge #CI56. These colours and cake are just stunning and I just knew I had to enter into the latest competition. The colours are Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo and Garden Green. The set I’ve used is the new Magnolia Lane Suite which includes Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set and Magnolia Memory Dies. This suite is available from the new Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalolgue for 2019-2020. I just had to use the large Magnolia from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set. I stamped it in Stazon Jet Black Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock and with my Aqua Painter I started off with Melon Mambo, then Berry Burst and Blackberry Bliss for the flower. The leaves are watercoloured in with Garden Green. The Magnolia has been cut out with the coordinating die. For the background I’ve used Whisper White Cardstock and I've lightly sponged Melon Mambo ink with a Sponge Dauber. To bring out the Blackberry Bliss of the flower I decided to use Blackberry Bliss Cardstock for the card base. This Magnolia Lane Suite has so much to offer. There is a beautiful Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder which I can’t wait to order next week and start creating with it. Need a new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue please send me a message. Thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope you like my card. Product List: Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White and Shimmery White. Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo and Garden Green. Stamps: Good Morning Magnolia Dies: Magnolia Memory Other Products: Big Shot and Aqua Painter
It's Friday and new challenge time at Just Add Ink, and this week could possibly be the easiest challenge ever... Card? But no, that's really tooooo easy. I came up with a ton of C's but decide to make one of my all time fave folds - the centre step card - using a mix of the beautiful Good Morning Magnolia stamp & die bundle teamed with the Free as a Bird stamp & die bundle. You may spot some other C's too. This is a combination of my Original Centre Step Card Tutorial with an extended panel like my extended Centre Step card. I think the gorgeous magnolia image from Good Morning Magnolia is the star here. I stamped it on shimmery white cardstock and coloured it with Stampin' Blends markers in a combination of Calypso Coral, light Petal Pink, Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron, plus light pool party around the image. See more challenge C's there. I also snuck some clear Wink of Stella onto the flower for even more shimmer. I teamed the magnolia with some very pretty paper prints from the Bird Ballad paper pack. Suuuuuch a pretty pack. This coordinates with the Free as a Bird stamp & die bundle I've used for the sentiment, stitched label and vellum panel. I used the stamps and labels on the extended panel at the bottom too. The patterned paper strip is popped up on some fun foam to keep the front standing - see how it stands in this pic. The card folds flat for mailing - depending on how enthusiastic you've been with your layers. Here's how the base looks flat too - front & back. So that's a wrap on my 'C' challenge card. Check out which C's the team used on their projects, here on the here on the Just Add Ink blog. Inspired to make our own version? See my original Centre Step Card Tutorial here To make the extended version, don't cut anything off the card length. Add an extra score at 21cm so you can fold the remaining piece under to form the bottom-base. You'll have to just trim a little off if off the end & fold it under the main card. Like my card? Save it on Pinterest for later. All the supplies I've used are listed below. Click on the links to order what you need to make your own. Happy stamping & inky wishes Di Project Supplies Here's what I used to make today's project. Click on the items below to see and order them in my Online Store. Hello and welcome back to my blog with the lovely ladies from Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. Today is week 51 and we are playing along with one of the new In-Colours called Rococo Rose for 2019-2021. This new colour is available to purchase in Ink, Cardstock, Ribbon, DSP and much more. Isn’t it just beautiful? It’s a favourite of mine and I’ve used it with Early Espresso. In the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue which is available from me if you don't have one yet. I've used the Free As A Bird stamp set for my card. I stamped the image on Shimmery White Cardstock with Early Espresso Ink. With my Aqua Painter I carefully water coloured the bird and flowers in Rococo Rose. I've left some of the paper exposed to give some variation of the images. I used my snips to fussy cut out the bird, flowers and leaves which didn't take me long at all. The greeting Hugs for you is from the May issue of the Paper Pumpkin – Hugs from Shelli kit which unfortunately has now sold out in Australia. At the time when I made this card it was still available to purchase. There are some lovely greetings in the Free As A Bird stamp set which you could also use. I die cut the large die from the Stitched Labels as this gave the card a lace feel about it. I also used the tiny heart die which is just the sweetest. Both of the dies was cut with Shimmery White Cardstock and then I lightly brushed Rococo Rose Ink with my Aqua Painter. I then layered the everything together until I was happy with the layout. For the card base I’ve used Rococo Rose Cardstock, 6” x 6” In-colour Designer Series Paper and the beautiful ½” Scalloped Linen Ribbon which are all available in this stunning colour. Thank you for visiting my latest blog and I hope you've enjoyed how I created this Rococo Rose card. If you would like a new catalogue please send me a message. Happy crafting Vicki Please visit Catherine’s blog where you’ll find the links to the other participants. Product List: Ink: Rococo Rose and Early Espresso Paper: Rococo Rose and Shimmery White Cardstock. Hello and welcome back to my blog with the lovely ladies from Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. Today is week 48 and we are playing along with Soft Sea Foam which is one of the Subtles Collection Colours. Recently I received my order from the new Annual Catalogue for 2019 – 2020 as a demonstrator we can order certain products earlier. I just couldn’t go past the Bird Ballad Suite. The stamp set and labels dies are just so beautiful to work with. The colours I’ve used with Soft Sea Foam are Rococo Rose (which is a new In-Color for 2019 – 2021) and Crumb Cake. I stamped the bird, flowers and leaves in Crumb Cake and I used my Blends in Soft Sea Foam. I used a Blender Pen and Rococo Rose Ink Pad to colour in the flowers. I wanted some shine on the flowers so I used the Rose Gold Shimmer Paint which is from the Everything Is Rosy Product Medley. I was so excited to use this gorgeous product and it goes so well with Rococo Rose. The Rose Metallic Thread also blends in well with theses items too. I just love anything in Rose Gold. The new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Dies are really easy to use. I used a medium size Stitched Nested Label in Soft Sea Foam. The new In Colors have some gorgeous new Scalloped Linen Ribbon. The woven linen ribbon has colourful scalloped edges and I’ve used Rococo Rose. Well I hope you’ve enjoyed my latest blog and the card that I’ve created. Please visit Catherine's blog where you’ll find the links to the other participants. I just can’t wait to order more products from the new Annual Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 catalogue. If you would like a catalogue from me please leave a message and I will be in contact with you shortly. Hello Peeps!!! So sorry for neglecting my blog for a bit, I have been so busy! I have stamped a bit but just didn't have time to blog. I made this card using the Everything is Rosy Kit and the Floral Essence stamp set that will be available June 4th. I used the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches for my card. Great sketch and I worked great for my Melon Mambo Flower. I watercolored the flower and leaves and cut out to add to my card. The base of my card is Night of Navy and then the DSP comes from the Everything is Rosy kit. How about that Flower center, it is par of the Floral Essence suite. I love it! Thanks for stopping by today! Vicki

Cinco personas. Cinco oportunidades. ENGLISH DESCRIPTION Five people. Five chances. One woman's search for happiness. &zwj,Allegra Bird's arms are scattered with freckles, a gift from her beloved father. But despite her nickname, Freckles has never been able to join all the dots. So, when a stranger tells her that everyone is the average of the five people they spend the most time with, it opens up something deep inside. The trouble is, Freckles doesn't know if she has five people. And if not, what does that say about her? She's left her unconventional father and her friends behind for a bold new life in Dublin, but she's still an outsider. Now, in a quest to understand, she must find not one but five people who shape her - and who will determine her future. Good Saturday morning, peeps. Do you have a fun weekend planned? Same ole same ole for me except I have an order for 12 retirement cards but all the same design and paper. I've never done assembly line stamping before. It's a time consuming card too. Hopefully, I'll have enough supplies as it's retired product except for the stamp set. Speaking of retired, I used the retired Bird Ballad DSP for my card front today but a current stamp set and current dies. Take a look see... I was inspired by Creative Moments by G. Using the Give It a Whirl dies can be intimidating but there are so many You Tube videos out there, just find one that works for you. G's obviously did! I hope you like the rest of my pics. Oh, the little brad in the middle is a current product Round & Square Brads. They come in white and black. I just love the fan shaped window creating an interactive card...so cute! Here's the third window, which was stamped using the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set. This is the first time I have used these dies so I am entering my card at NBUS #28. Hope you like this one Darnell! Let me show you the dies...trust me...I feel an addiction coming on! All the stamps fit so nicely in the "windows". My card base is Pool Party. The ribbon is Mint Macaron, but is retired. However, I have pictured below, a substitute for it. The ink colors are Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Memento Tuxedo Black. I used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch for my bottom sentiment and sponged the edges with Pool Party. The rhinestones are from a retired set where they were all linked together. You certainly can use ones from the current catalog and I have included them below in my partial product list. For the inside, I stamped the image from Free As a Bird and colored everything with my Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pen. The sentiment is one that was gifted to me by Carole years ago. I punched the corners with my Detailed Trio Punch. I'm also entering my card in these two challenges: Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper July 2021 Seize the Birthday #218 with the Framed Topping Thank you for visiting today and, as always, I appreciate your comments. As promised I have 2 more flowers made with the Two Step Bird Punch. I'm pleasantly surprised at the versatility of this punch. Papers: Pink Pirouette, Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Spring Vintage designer paper Inks: Rose Red, Always Artichoke Accessories: Two Step Bird Punch, Framed Tulips embossing folder, Always Artichoke seam binding. Again, I borrowed the idea from another demonstrator here and again made modifications. Making the bud: Punch out one wing per bud in Always Artichoke card stock. Sponge edges with Always Artichoke ink Cut a small V-shaped notch at the round end of the wing. Punch out one wing per bud in Pink Pirouette. Sponge edges with Rose Red Ink. Punch out 3 branches and leaves in Always Artichoke and sponge the edges. To make the bud, place the pink wing, pointed side up behind the green notched wing, making it look like the bud is emerging from the green wing. Mount on card as illustrated in picture. This flower was shown on this blog and again I modified he design. Stamp: You're a Gem Inks: Rose Red, Old Olive Papers: Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla, Rose Red, Old Olive, Spring Vintage designer paper, Daffodil Delight in center of flower Accessories: 3/4" round punch, Boho Blossom punch, Ornament punch, Small oval punch, Two Step Bird Punch, Framed Tulip embossing folder, Scallop Trim Border punch, Chantilly Lace Crochet trim, Antique brad, Two Step Owl Punch (the eye only), Stampin dimensionals, red glue glitter Making the flower: Punch 10 wings in Pink Pirouette card stock, two 3/4" round circle, and one Boho Blossom Sponge all with Rose Red ink Put a generous amount of Tombo glue on one of the 3/4" round circle. Arrange the petals around the circle overlapping then slightly. Apply the second 3/4" circle in the middle of the flower. Make small snips between every 2nd petal of the Boho Blossom punchie, and curl ends up with a bone folder. Punch a yellow eye with the Two Step Owl Punch and place in center of boho blossom. With a chocolate chip marker, make dots on the yellow center. Apply this unit to the top of the second 3/4" circle. The stem is from the Two Step Flower Punch. Fold a piece of Old Olive card stock in half, and cut leaves along the fold line. With a stylus make the center of the leaves & vein marks. Bend leaf along middle line. Sponge with Old Olive ink Another flower tomorrow

Happy Monday, peeps! We had a wonderful weekend, the weather was so nice! I had a little bit of stamping time and made a special card for a special person! I believe this is called a bridge card, and I used Terracotta Tile and Free as a Bird for my monochromatic creation: The panels were cut from Bird Ballad and In Color DSP, and while I fussy-cut the birds out, I did stamp, color and cut the flowers and greenery: My final addition was the sentiment, stamped in Old Olive and diecut with the Stitched Nested Label dies: These are so fun to make and there are so many ways to decorate and embellish them! I got my measurements from Dawn here! Here is Cassidy's art work for which she won a prize...the center portion says "AGCS (Avon Grove Charter School) ROCKS!! Very colorful!
