I wanted to build a custom wall system to hold my Ryobi tools and wanted to keep my garage cleaned and looking good. It is 4x5 3/4 plywood, counter sunk and lag bolted to the wall. The french cleats are 3/4 plywood cut down to 6 inches, then cut a 45 degree angle to leave a 3 1/2 and 2 1/2 inch slat. The 3 1/2 inch slat is glued a nailed to the plywood sheet and the 2 1/2 slat is used o the back of the tool holder.
