Hi Friends! Yesterday I made some cards using the awesome “Four Split Technique”. I first shared this back in December, with a video demonstration – if you missed it click HERE. Hello stampers, it's week 10 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. We have been working our way through the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week we are featuring Blushing Bride. Blushing Bride is the lightest pink in our range and tonight I chose to pair it with silver and white. My card uses the Happiness Abounds Bundles and the Split Card Textures Dies. I used the grid die from the Split Card Textures Dies to cut a mask from the Masking Paper, that I then gently stuck to the bottom left corner of the card front. I used a Blending Brush to apply Blushing Bride ink over the mask. The flowers from the Happiness Abounds stamp set were heat embossed in silver embossing powder and coloured with a Water Painter and Blushing Bride ink. I cut the largest foliage in the Forever Flourishing Dies from silver foil paper. I cut this into smaller pieces to spread between the flowers. The other foliage die from the Forever Flourishing Dies was cut twice from the Vellum Layering Designs. The greeting is from the Happiness Abounds stamp set and has been embossed in silver embossing powder. This card turned out exactly as I imagined, very soft and subtle. Now it time for the next hop in our blog hop which belongs to Cathy Proctor. Cathy is also the wonderful host for our Colour Creations Blog Hops. If you encounter any issues with our hops head to Cathy's blog for a complete list of tonight's participants. Next week we'll be back with Cajun Craze. Stampin' Up! I originally made these Stampin' Up! Enduring Beauty cards for my January-April Mini Catalogue Team Swaps. I loved the cards so much and the team wanted to know how to made them I made a video on the process. I paired together Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper and Basic White Cardstock and stamped the Enduring Beauty floral image. I used the matching Enduring Beauty Decorative Masks to fill in the white panel. I joined both panels together, added the sentiment and Iridescent Rhinestones. Colours: Early Espresso, Petal Pink, Calypso Coral. Time to play a little game of "Which do you like better? This or That?" I've been playing with the new Potted Geraniums stamps and Geraniums dies, and came up with two cards. One uses the stamps with the dies, and one uses the dies alone. So now I want to know, which is your favorite? Let's look at each one. This was my first attempt. I stamped the images using Cajun Craze for the flower pot, and two-stepped the leaves and flowers (Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive for the leaves, and Blushing Bride with Sweet Sorbet for the flowers). These were all cut with the coordinating dies. I love that little sign in the plant! And check out that fabulous lattice background! The Split Card Textures dies (there are two - a lattice and a floral) create these textures that look like another layer on your card. LOVE! And do you see that cut-out greeting? The Charming Sentiments stamps and dies are going to be a favorite! With 17 greeting stamps and matching dies, this will be a set I reach for again and again! This card got a little (retired) bumblebee to embellish the white space. I love the way this came out. But then I got looking at the dies and decided to try another version: You can make the geraniums using only dies! How fun! This time I used the same colors as in the first sample, but cut everything with cardstock. There's even a "dirt" stamp and die! And since I decided to try a larger greeting, I flipped the lattice so there was more "white space" on the top of the card. This is another of the stamps/dies from the Charming Sentiments set. And I finished off the card with a few little Brushed Brass Butterflies...a favorite embellishment. So which is your favorite? This or That?
