This Easter math activity provides students with practice graphing in all four quadrants on the coordinate plane. Coordinates include positive and negative, whole and half numbers (example: (6, -2.5)). Please note: There are a lot of coordinates that include 0.5! It's great for "early finishers" or can be used as an extra credit assignment. Makes a great Easter or Spring themed bulletin board! Now includes all 4 quadrants or quadrant 1, only! This bundle of coordinate plane mystery graphing pictures has fun symmetry practice in both Quadrant I and in all four quadrants. Each picture has a fun animal theme, sure to get smiles from your students. Four Quadrant Symmetry Pictures - 3 pictures Students plot the coordinate pairs in order, connecting them with a line until they come to the word STOP. Here they stop the line they are working on and start a new one. When all of the coordinate pairs are plotted their picture is still only half done! They will have Quadrants II and III finished and will then use their symmetry skills to reflect the picture across the y-axis to finish their mystery picture. Included with this resource: Coordinate grid Coordinate pairs to plot for each picture Instructions Reference sheet to display while discussing strategies for reflecting points Answer keys This set includes three mystery pictures Quadrant I Symmetry Pictures - 4 pictures Students complete an animal coordinate plane mystery picture in Quadrant I, but instead of completing the whole picture there are only coordinates for the left half. Down the middle of the grid is a dashed line, marking the line of symmetry. Students place points across this line of symmetry to complete their picture. Included with this resource: Teacher's guide with instructions, tips and extensions Coordinate grid and coordinate pairs; these print all on one page for the Quadrant I pictures A quick symmetry activity that can be done as a whole class under a doc cam that makes sure all students know strategies for finishing their mystery pictures Answer keys This set includes four mystery pictures This is a fun way to practice graphing and symmetry! If you are looking for more coordinate plane symmetry activities, try my Coordinate Plane Symmetry and Reflection Mystery Picture Activity, which challenges students to complete a four quadrant mystery picture after plotting coordinates only in Quadrant I. Students will plot points on their Coordinate Plane and discover a Secret Message from their teacher. This differentiated practice will have students plotting points either in the first quadrant or using all four quadrants. Each Secret Message is available in either a First Quadrant Coordinate Plane or All Four Quadrants Coordinate Plane. Includes 6 secret messages to send to students Secret Message #1 (I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!) Secret Message #2 (I AM SO GLAD U R HERE!) Secret Message #3 (YOU ARE A GOOD FRIEND!) Secret Message #4 (YOU ARE A RAY OF SUNSHINE) Secret Message #5 (YOU ARE A SMART COOKIE!) Secret Message #6 (YOU ARE A HARD WOKER!) Use the included Assignment Sheet to keep track of which message to send to each student. This Assignment Sheet should be kept secret, so students slowly discover their message as they plot and connect their points. This will keep them engaged and motivated throughout the activity. Please Note: When students plot certain letters, some lines will overlap (this is OKAY). For example, when students plot the letter K, they may plot points (3,6)->(1,4)->(0,6)->(1,4) Students will overlap when they connect again to the (1,4) this is okay and they should continue plotting the rest of the coordinates to finish the letter.
