The Germans were now in control of the country and in November 1939, an edict issued by Hans Frank, the Governor General, decreed all Jewish men, women and children over the age of ten had to wear a Star of David armband to identify themselves. I definitely want to spend more time there, live there, interact with the culture and generally be part of this booming culture in ways I never thought possible.
