Queremos que Deus esteja bem envolvido em nossas amizades. Rute 1:1-2:23; Eclesiastes 4:9-12; 1 João 4:7-11 ANTES DE COMEÇAR... Pegue seu Kit da História, clique aqui, e canetas hidrográficas coloridas. Como esta é uma história da série "Legal Demais!", você precisará de uma sacola de presente para guardar guloseimas como pipoca, balas ou maças pequenas, uma para cada crianças. Antes da história, encha três bexigas e desenhe nelas rostos de mulher. Em um balão escreva "Noemi", em outro, "Rute", e no terceiro, "Orfa". Enquanto estiver contando a história, as bexigas estarão circulando entre as crianças. No final da história, mande as crianças se sentarem numa roda para se divertir com os amigos e dividir as guloseimas. CONTAR A HISTÓRIA Deixe a sacola de presentes do lado. Mande as crianças formarem dois círculos concêntricos (um dentro do outro). As crianças do círculo interno andarão numa direção enquanto as do círculo externo andarão em outra. Quando você bater palmas, as crianças devem parar e cumprimentar o colega do outro círculo que estiver do lado. Depois de algumas voltas, peça para as crianças formarem um único círculo. Diga: É muito gostoso ter amigos, não? Muitas vezes somos simpáticos com alguns amigos, sorrimos para eles, mas não passamos muito tempo juntos. Outros são amigos de verdade, com quem compartilhamos nossos segredos, sonhos e esperanças. Os amigos verdadeiros e íntimos são um presente de Deus e fazem do nosso mundo um lugar agradável de vivermos! A história bíblica de hoje é a respeito de uma verdadeira e de como duas mulheres descobriram quem era o melhor amigo delas. Segure a bexiga que representa Noemi e diga: Esta é a história de Noemi, uma mulher que tinha dois filhos que se casaram com duas jovens. (Apresente "Orfa" e "Rute".) Uma dessas jovens se chamava Orfa e a outra, Rute. Enquanto contamos a história, vamos jogar com cuidado essas bexigas pelo círculo, prestando atenção no nome escrito nelas. Quando eu disser "pare", segure a bexiga e difa quem está em sua mão. Eu vou fazer uma pergunta sobre uma das personagens. Quem estiver com a bexiga certa na mão deverá responder minha pergunta. Conte a história da amizade entre Rute e Noemi conforme Rute 1 e 2, enquanto joga as bexigas de acordo com as instruções em parênteses. Começando com Noemi, diga: Noemi era uma senhora mais velha que conhecia e amava a Deus. Noemi tinha dois filhos que se casaram com duas jovens chamadas Orfa e Rute. Parem. (Parem de jogar as bexigas). Veja quem está segurando Noemi e pergunte. Por que foi gentil e amoroso da parte de Noemi conversar com Rute sobre Deus? Continuem jogando as bexigas e diga: Foi então que aconteceu uma coisa horrível. O marido de Noemi e seus dois filhos morreram. Noemi, Orfa e Rute ficaram viúvas. Com muito amor Noemi disse a Rute e Orfa que, se quisessem, poderiam voltar para a casa de seus pais. Tanto Rute como Orfa choraram bastante. Ambas amavam Noemi e não queriam deixá-la. Pare. Veja quem está segurando Rute e pergunte: Por que Rute amava sua amiga Noemi? Veja quem está com Orfa e pergunte? Por que foi importante que as três mulheres tivessem boas amigas quando atravessaram aquela situação triste e difícil? Continuem jogando as bexigas. Diga: Finalmente, Orfa decidiu voltar para a casa de seus pais, e doi embora. (Tire Orfa do jogo e continuem com Noemi e Rute.) Rute disse a sua amiga Noemi: "Aonde você for eu irei e o seu Deus será o meu Deus". Assim, Noemi e sua amiga Rute voltaram para Belém, cidade onde Noemi tinha alguns parentes. Parem, Veja quem está segurando Noemi e pergunte: Por que o fato de Noemi falar com Rute a respeito de Deus aumentou a amizade das duas? Continuem jogando as bexigas. Diga: Quando Rute e Noemi chegaram a Belém, estavam com fome. Rute queria ajudar sua amiga Noemi e por isso foi ao campo recolher trigo para fazer pão. Ela recolheu os grãos e os colocou em uma sacola. Parem. Veja quem está com Rute e pergunte: Por que Rute quis trabalhar e ajudar sua amiga Noemi? Coloque a sacola de presente no meio da roda. Continuem jogando as bexigas. Diga: Quando Rute e Noemi se sentavam para desfrutar a amizade uma da outra e dividir a refeição, também oravam juntas agradecendo a Deus pelas bençãos. Parem. Coloque as bexigas de lado e ore com as crianças agradecendo a Deus pelos bons amigos. Depois, compartilhem as guloseimas das sacolas. Diga: Enquanto nós desfrutamos de nossa amizade e guloseimas, vamos pensar um pouco sobre a razão de Deus nos mandar amigos especiais e como eles podem nos ajudar a ficar mais próximos uns dos outros e de Deus também. PARA SEMPRE NA MEMÓRIA Convide voluntários para ler em voz alta 1 João 4.7-11. Depois pergunte: Por que amar a Deus nos ajudar a amar uns aos outros? Sem amor a Deus, teremos mesmo amigos para amar? Por quê? Por que compartilhar sobre Deus com nossos amigos nos aproxima deles e de Deus? Convide alguns voluntários para ler Eclesiastes 4.9-12. Depois pergunte: Por que ter um amigo é melhor do ficar sozinho? Por que Deus nos dá amigos especiais? De que forma os bons amigos podem ajudar uns aos outros? Por que é importante fazer com que Deus seja a "terceira dobra" no relacionamento entre nós e nossos amigos? Diga: Rute descobriu o quando Noemi havia sido bondosa e afetuosa com ela, especialmente quando lhe ensinou a respeito de Deus e seu amor. Rute, que antes não conhecia o Senhor, veio a ser mãe de Obede, de cuja família Jesus nasceu muitos anos depois. Isso é incrível! Que amigona foi Noemi! Nós também podemos ser os melhor amigos de nossos amigos, fazendo com que Deus se torne parte de nossa amizade. Termine cantando "Que bondoso amigo é Cristo", ou outro cântico sobre amizade que suas crianças gostem de cantar. DIVERSÃO EXTRA As crianças podem se divertir preparando cordões de tênis para presentear seus amigos. Use cordões brancos que podem ser pintados com as canetas hidrográficas, ou use cola e glitter. Quando os cordões estiverem secos, torça-os em forma de corda e amarre as pontas com uma fita. This is a fun, visual way to pray, and illustrates God's power and desire to hear our prayers. You will need: small pieces of tissue paper, pens, a balloon, hair or a woolly jumper! Ask children who or what they would like to pray for and then ask them to choose a colour of tissue paper to reflect that person or thing. They can write or draw on their tissue piece if they want to. Either in pairs or small groups, take it in turns to rub the balloon on a woolly jumper or on (their own!) hair. This will build up some static on the balloon! Talk about giving our prayers to God and asking Him to show his power in each situation. Children can hold their tissue prayer close to the balloon and watch as it is pulled onto the balloon and sticks there. Pray that, as the paper sticks to the balloon, God will hold all of our prayers and that we will see his power at work.

Today at Powersource, we looked at what it means to be the body of Christ. As a warm up we played some games... Build a body relay: Each team collects body parts of a different colour and sticks them to the background. The first team to build the whole body and bring it to the leader wins! (we hadn't told the children what our subject matter was when we played this game so they had to work out what they were making!) Photo booth pictures: Use the collection of wigs, glasses and hats to make yourselves a new character! Hands, feet and mouth race: Assign roles within each team. FEET are the only ones allowed to collect pieces of memory verse from the pile at the far wall. They cannot speak or touch the pieces once they have been brought to the team base. MOUTHS are the only people allowed to speak throughout the whole game (but cannot move and must have hands behind their backs- no pointing allowed!) HANDS are the only people allowed to arrange and stick the parts of the memory verse to the sheet. The idea is that, like in a relay race, children collect pieces of memory verse one by one, being them to the team base and arrange the verse so it makes sense. The first team to complete the memory verse is the winner. This was quite frustrating for some of the children but really illustrated how the parts of the body need to work together!

All the printables were created with a bee and beehive theme for this post. Next week will be the last post in this Beatitudes series and will be all preschool. For this Bee bulletin board, I combined the flowers with the bee theme, and it made a beautiful, fun board! There are different ways to use this bulletin board. The board above is 4'x8', which I love and have used this style/size for a lot of years. I used grass border along the bottom, but I added two layers. It looks great and it adds dimension. Then, I alternated the flower stems 'growing in the grass' under each layer. I also added the tree branch printed on brown cardstock for the hive to hang on. You can print the template here for the tree branch. Instead of using the bees as an interactive bulletin board, I just stapled them with the correct flower. But there is a space on the flower centers to add Velcro and let the students add the bees as a review for the Beatitudes. Print this bulletin board here. I also added bees with the student's names, since they love to see their names on bulletin boards. Then, I let them take their name tags home when the board is changes. If you would rather type in the names on the bees, you can purchase the bees here. You can print the name bees here. This Beatitudes worksheet is a beehive that the students will match the bees to the correct verse on the hive. You can print it in color or black and white. This is a lot of fun for them! These visual motor integration activities will help your child to learn skills needed for handwriting.

Continuing my series on crafts related to the Creed... (for the rest, check out the "I Believe" activities under the Sharing the Faith tab above) Highlighting the Four Marks of the Church found at the end of the Nicene Creed, I made this craft as a vehicle for dicussing how the Church is one, holy, catholic, and apostolic. Here are some topics I would teach as I made this with kids: -One= Christ founded one Church. It was never his plan for us to break into smaller groups with differing beliefs. When He comes again, we will all be united as one. -Holy= The Church is the spotless Bride of Christ, good and holy, even though it is made up of broken and fallen people. When He comes again, the Church will enter Heaven as His Holy Bride. -Catholic= The Church is universal. Our faith is for all people of all cultures of all times. When He comes again, we will see how all encompassing the Church really is. -Apostolic= The Church is founded on the teachings of the Apostles, and continues to follow their authority today through their successors the Bishops. We are blessed to have leadership in our time by those given authority from Christ. -The Church is not a building, but is the people. We are the Church, and we make up the Body of Christ. -We believe all of these things as we say the Nicene Creed- "I believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church." So, for the craft, you will need a copy of the printable (link at the bottom of the post) and one piece of black construction paper for each kid, as well as various colored scraps of paper, glue, scissors, and a circle punch if you have one. First mission: color the pieces on the printable. I chose to leave the church and "Our Church Is..." white to represent it being the spotless Bride of Christ. Then cut them out. Second mission: cut open the doors on the solid lines and fold on the dotted lines. A little trick for kids having trouble-fold the church in half length ways and clip on the line. Then open it back up and cut the rest. Here is what it looks like after that step- Third mission: lay the church in the center of the black paper and trace the opening with a white crayon. (I love finding a purpose for the neglected white crayon in my Crayola box :) ) Fourth mission: Cut or punch out circle of various colors. This is step you could do ahead of time to speed things up if you are crafting with a large group. Glue the circles inside the white rectangle. Glue the church on over the circles without gluing down the doors. Then glue on the rest of the words like this: Fifth mission: glue the "We are the Church!" and the Ephesians verse on the inside of the doors. This is to remind the kids that we, all of the people of God, are the Church, and we are one body. Sixth mission: Go share it with somebody! Here is the link to the printable:
