I used the Stampin’ Up! Country Flowers stamp set bundle to create a birthday card for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge this week.
Hello stamping friends, I have another sneak peek to share with you from the 2024-2025 Annual catalogue. As a demonstrstor we have access to preorders from new upcoming catalogues. When I first saw the Country Flowers Bundle, I knew it was one that I would love. The stamp set includes two different containers, three foliage and flower stamps, a stool and five greetings. For this card I stamped the front pail and flowers first. I created a mask for the pail and then stamped the stool and the teapot and flowers. I stamped the stool again on a piece of woodgrain card stock from the Country Woods DSP and fussy cut it out. I trimmed the stool so that it would fit behind the front pail. I coloured the image with my Blends Markers and cut out the image with a Deckled Rectangle Die. Happy Easter stamping friends, be sure to pop back soon for more peeks from the new catalogue. If you live in Australia and do not already have a demo, contact me and I can send you your own catalogue as soon as it's available. Happy stamping, Rachel
Oh my goodness! Do you ever buy a stamp set on a bit of a whim and then absolutely fall in love with it? Well, the Country Flowers Bundle was that for me. I'm a sucker for a teapot (both real and stamped!), and I also love a set that provides the opportunity to colour in, so this one made its way into my shopping cart. For this card, I paired it with Country Lace DSP, and used that to base my colour scheme on. I coloured the image using Blends in Smoky Slate, Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue. I am also loving the Spotlight on Nature dies - circles in lots of sizes with pretty detailed borders. These are getting quite a workout! I'll be back with another card soon! Hello and welcome my friends, My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you the first colour for Colour Creations blog hop and it's Week 1 with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. It's been a while since my last Colour Creation and I'm so excited to be back here again. The first colour is Peach Pie which is part of the In Color Collection for 2024 - 2026 Stampin' Up! sure know how to create some beautiful new colors for us to play with and they are here with us for the next two years. Now that's exciting! All of the new In Colors come in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as ink, cardstock, ribbon, designer series paper, embellishments, Stampin' Blends and so on. New colours means new Stampin' Up! products to try out from the new Stampin' Up! 2024 -2025 Annual Catalogue and I'll be showing you the Country Flowers bundle (163411) which is part of the Country Woods Suite Collection and you can find it on pages 48 to 51 in the catalogue. Country Flowers bundle (163411) The Country Flowers bundle includes the Country Flowers stamp set and Country Flowers dies. I've been using this bundle now for a couple of my projects and I love it! The stamp images of bunches of flowers, cute flowerpots and a variety of different sentiments for your card making and paper craft. I stamped the images using Basic Gray ink onto Basic White cardstock and coloured in the images using Stampin' Blends in Peach Pie, Smoky Slate and Lost Lagoon. I like to leave white space to create depth when colouring in the images. I also added detailed die-cut images to the background of the coloured in flowers and a couple of fallen leaves to add interest. I wanted to add Peach Pie Glimmer Paper which is from the 2024-26 In Color Glimmer 12" x 12" Specialty Paper (163771) to my card, so I used the scissors die image from the Crafting With You Dies (161225) for some detailed bling! I thought this was lots of fun to my card. To create the sentiment, I actually combined two words together from two different sentiments and stamped them in Basic Gray ink onto Peach Pie paper from the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper (163372). I also used this same Peach Pie paper and layered it under the embossed Basic White cardstock. Then I die-cut out using one of the smaller circular dies from the Spotlight on Nature Dies (163580). To finish off the card I created a cute bow using Peach Pie Bordered Ribbon (163783) by pulling away fine strands from the ribbon and tying it into a delicate bow. Hello there stamping friends! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today I'm participating in a blog hop for CASE-ing the Catty, to kick off the new challenge for the week. If you've come here from Peta's blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome. To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit. And this week we are CASE-ing our choice of sketches that are found on Pg. 22 of the Stampin' Up! 2024 - 2025 Annual Catalogue. There are 22 sketches so I'm sure there is at least one that inspires you. If you've been following me here for a while you'll know that I love a sketch challenge. I think because I find them the easiest of all the challenges and I usually get a whole heap of different ideas flowing so its easy to get crafting with a sketch. I also say that a sketch is more of a guide or starting point and I usually end up changing something from the sketch. I try to keep the basic design principles of the sketch but sometimes things need to be changed to suit the project better. I was really drawn to this grid like sketch when trying to decide on what sketch I was going to use. I wanted to use one of the sketches that was a little bit of a different design as to what I normally do when creating cards and this was it. I've used the grid design to create my own background using strips of Basic Black and Basic White. I do love a Black and White stripe and thought that this would go perfectly with the orange colourings of the oranges from the Mediterranean Blooms DSP. I've made a couple of projects recently with Blue and White combined with the Mediterranean Blooms Citrus images, which I love but I'm also loving this black and white colour combo with the citrus images too. I've used a few layers of Basic White under the striped grid and then fussy cut the orange image to make it the main focus of the card. I love that with these images they are the 'star of the show' and you don't need to put much else with them if you don't want to. Me, of course, had to add some extra die cuts and some ribbon and trim. A card isn't a card without these things in my book. I've layered one of the Citrus Blooms foliage die cuts, Linen thread and the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check to coordinate with the card. Can't go without that Linen Thread. I finished the card off with a little 'Hello' banner with a ruffled ribbon edge and some Opal Rounds embellishments. This is where I differ from the sketch a little. A banner placed on the card like in the sketch just wouldn't work in my book but put on the card down a little bit is a much better placement. I hope that I've inspired you with my take on this sketch and make sure you check out all the sketches on Pg. 22 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. These sketches are a great way to get that crafting mojo going especially if you are in a crafting slump. Why not try an use all 22?! There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the CASE-ing the Catty Crew so be sure to make your way around the whole hop to get inspiration from the CTC team. Next up on the hop is Michelle Strazds with her amazing take on one of the sketches. Keep hopping around to see all of the design team’s creations. We would love to have you join us over at our Facebook group to share your creation CASE-ing a project from the 2024 - 2025 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and join in this weeks challenge. My card today is inspired by 2 different challenges. Just Us Girls has a fabulous mood board with gorgeous colors and Just Add Ink's choose two...leaves, flowers, pots. I went with leaves and flowers! Look at that dramatic background!! This one came out better than what I thought it would look like in my head! It starts with a Basic Black card base and then all the magic (not really) happens on a piece of Basic White. I used colors from the mood board and blended them in a diagonal across the panel with blending brushes. Then I stamped the new Leaf Collection background stamp in Versamark right over the top the of the ink blending and embossed it in black. The leaves are so shiny in person and are really quite a cool look. After making the background panel it took me a bit of playing around to come up with something that didn't cover too much of the leaf pattern. I decided on just embellishing a sentiment with some flowers and leaves. The two circles are cut with the Stylish Shapes dies and the new Simply Said stamp set is used to emboss the 'birthday wishes' in black to coordinate with the background. Also it just pops off that Basic White. I sandwiched a piece of retired Pool Party ribbon between the circles before adhering it all to the card front. The little flowers and leaves are part of the Country Birdhouse die set and I just cut a variety and then adhered them around the sentiment. The two center flowers are popped on dimensionals and embellished with gems. Current items used to make this card can be purchased in my ONLINE STORE.
