The CTMH/Cricut Flower Market collection is so much fun! (And for CyberMonday only, CTMH is offering a deal on Cricut collections!) Of course it's full of flowers, but it has so many other awesome Cricut cuts too. My stamp of the month blog hop group wanted to showcase this versatile collection for you. {If you're already hopping, then you've arrived from Jennifer D.'s blog and you'll visit Brenda next.) I have two different cards to share with you. My brother and sister-in-law recently moved into their new home, so I made this card for them with pieces of the Enchantment and Rustic Fundamentals. Doesn't it match their home well? We are so excited for them! My daughters, my cousins, and the homeowners My next card features the Oh, Deer paper pack and one of the lovely tree cuts on the Flower Market cartridge. The star and white & gold twine are part of the Oh, Deer Workshop Your Way collection. I like how simple this card is, but then I decided to fancy it up a bit with the addition of white enamel gems. The newest Cricut Cartridge, Flower Market, has been very useful lately. I've had to make a few sympathy cards in the last couple of weeks and the detailed flowers and sentiments on this cartridge have worked beautifully. Take a look at two of the designs I've created. I've used a similar color scheme on both as well as the same sentiment cut. However with some different patterned/embossed papers and two very different layered flowers they are uniquely not identical! Close to My Heart has a new cricut cartridge called Flower Market and I used it to create these sympathy cards: All the flowers were cut from Recollections Shimmer cardstock White Gold and Champagne. I just love how shiny and pretty these papers are! Of course I could have used CTMH White Daisy and Colonial White papers and added the new Clear Shimmer Brush to get the same effect but it hadn't yet arrived for me to use. The leaves and stems were cut from Fern CS and the flower centers are Saffron CS. The sympathy greeting comes from the retired stamp set called Sincere Expressions. Card #1: The above card has the new Whimsy Fundamentals Sweet Leaf patterned paper, White Daisy CS, Peacock CS and Peacock Ink. Card #2: This card uses Peacock CS and Fern Ink. Card #3: This card uses Whimsy Fundamentals Crystal Blue patterned paper, Peacock CS and Crystal Blue Ink. Which card do you like best? Here is an elegant sympathy card. I have seen a so many samples of white on white cards on Pinterest, especially seasonal cards using snowflakes. I decided to try it but used flowers instead of snowflakes. I cut each image twice and adhered them together to create more dimension. Here is a close up of the flower. You can see the thickness and the beautiful shimmer was created by using the new exclusive Shimmer Pen. The flower is Flower 1 on page 33 of the booklet and the stem and leaf is Flower 2. It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Sketch Pad" challenge. As a demonstrator, we often have the opportunity to pre-purchase products before they are made available to the public. The upcoming Thoughtful Branches Bundle is an example of one of those opportunities...a fabulous perk of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! Mine arrived the other day and I knew I'd reach for it for today's challenge, which is a refreshing sketch with a curved layer. What?! Don't throw those away! Use them! I cut out 2 of the Sugar Skulls with a different color combination. The other I plan on using on a card. Some of the elements added to this page were the cut outs from parts of the skulls. My letter "R" inspiration is from the letter "R" on our new Flower Market Cricut Cartridge. Loving this cartridge! I also often use Ribbons on my cards. For this card I used the "R" key on the Flower Market Cricut cartridge pg. 14. The tea pot (icon) and flowers (flowers 1) were cut at 1 3/4 the banner (title) at 2 1/4. I used sea glass glitter paper, sea glass cardstock for the tea pot and the patterned paper from Whimsey (Juniper inked with sea glass - mini pigment pad) for the flowers, banner and "ribbon strip".
