Per la prima volta andavi in escursione con i fratelli fino al laghetto che giace ai piedi del Cornone di Blumone. La sera, anche se stanchi, tornavamo a casa in fretta, perché la mamma potesse vedere il ghiaccio che la borraccia aveva conservato bene come il frigorifero della gelateria. Nello zaino c’era pure il bottino delle nostre razzie. Avevamo però un sacro rispetto per le stelle alpine, perché sicuramente non erano fatte di erba, ma di una stoffa magica, soffice come quella del berretto della domenica. Ci fermavamo a guardarle nei nostri posti segreti, con il terrore di trovarle devastate dai villeggianti che arrivavano a Bazena in macchina. La fiaba della maestra raccontava che le cime dei monti, immerse in un cielo fiorito di stelle, erano tristi perché aride e spoglie, e invidiavano il mare lontano, osservando sulle sue spiagge i resti graziosi delle stelle marine. Piangevano, e il loro dolore commosse il firmamento, il quale, una notte d’agosto, riversò sulle rocce una pioggia di stelle cadenti, che fecero nascere le stelle alpine. Per questo, quando da ragazzi incontravamo gruppetti di stelle alpine cresciute non sulla roccia ma nei prati, dicevamo: “Di sicuro queste sono cadute nel posto sbagliato!”. Poi abbiamo imparato che anche i fiori emigrano; non solo il papà, che andava in Francia a lavorare dalla primavera fino in autunno avanzato, quando a dicembre noi ci fermavamo sul muricciolo per guardare giù nello stradone se la corriera riportava a casa il babbo con i suoi valigioni. Anche i fiori traslocano. Il mondo e la vita sono una continua migrazione. Talvolta traumatica, come la frana che porta giù a valle le stelle alpine; o le tragedie delle nazioni che riversano ondate di profughi da un paese all’altro. Le migrazioni planetarie invece sono lente, e nel corso dei millenni hanno colorato la terra di popoli e di vegetazione. Come le stelle alpine, che dal Tibet sono arrivate sulle nostre Alpi.
