A few months back I received an email from my blogger friend Lan over at morestomach. Lan had messaged me to ask about making Thai Iced Tea, that much-loved sweet orange concoction that Thai food l…

>>Sustainable gift included with each order :) >> This gentle, fragrance free, buildable vegan mascara provides natural looking length (as in, it definitely does something, but it doesn't do that "fake lash" look. A happy medium) and conditions with aloe and vitamin E. It is also usable on brows, but this stuff is really thick and dark, so be careful. :) This is a water based formula that dries quickly and is very easy to apply. Just remember to scrape any extra product off on the rim of the vial before you start applying. You can build it up, or even add All Day Long Powder in between coats for a more volumized look. I would say that this formula is more lengthening than volumizing. :) Do not try to use this one as eyeliner; it'll get messy really fast. Also, why are people doing this? ¯\_( ⊙_ʖ⊙ )_/¯ I sell actual eyeliner that will work way better, if anyone's interested...https://www.etsy.com/listing/569842992/organic-vegan-zero-waste-eyeliner-liquid?ref=shop_home_active_13&pro=1&frs=1 Please remember to sanitize your brush after each use and store it in a clean space -- you don't want an eye infection, do you? Didn't think so. This product comes in a 10 ml clear glass vial (more product than most drugstore mascaras) with a metal cap. Just pop out the white seal inside the cap if you choose to recycle your vial when you're done with the product. Each mascara comes with an eco-friendly bamboo spoolie (the bristles are plastic and can be snipped off before composting, but I'm working on finding a 100% bamboo replacement) -- if you don't need the spoolie, just let me know in the "note" section when you place your order. These vials do NOT have reducers, so you may need to scrape excess product off on the edge of the vial's mouth before applying! Since this mascara does not contain any silicones or alcohol, it -may- take a minute or so to dry completely! I am presently looking for an eco-friendly, skin-friendly alternative to the aforementioned substances. Want your mascara to dry faster? Check out CFC's All Day Long Powder, a multipurpose product that functions as setting powder (for lashes and the rest of your face), lash lengthener, and eye primer -- https://www.etsy.com/listing/654288572/vegan-zero-waste-lash-lengthener-setting?ref=shop_home_active_1&pro=1&frs=1 Don't be afraid to ask for a sample! I now carry cotton muslin bags for storing applicators! These bags are available, for free, upon request. Let me know if you need one! This product is essential oil-free. Please be wary of any eye products involving essential oils, as they can be very irritating to this delicate area. Ingredients: organic aloe vera juice, organic vitamin E, sustainably sourced activated hardwood charcoal, organic acacia powder, kaolin clay, bentonite clay, organic lemon juice, lactobacillus ferment & lactobacillus & coconut fruit extract, potassium sorbate Shelf life -- 3 months Video tutorial (it's less than 30 seconds; don't worry): https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTR94MdE6/ Frequently Asked Question -- What is toxin free / chemical free makeup and skincare? Answer -- These phrases are actually just fear mongering and bad marketing (and we don't use that kind of language around here) brought to you by beauty influencers and brands who want to scare you out of doing your research and into buying their products. Want to learn more about how a product will impact you and/or the environment? Try asking questions such as "Does this product contain [insert allergen here]?" "Is this product comedogenic, and if so what is the rating?" "Is this product ethically sourced, and do you have documentation of that?" "May I see the material safety data sheet for [insert material here]?" Use sources such as Pub Med to look up more information. Anything can have a negative effect on one's health if used improperly (including plants). And everything is made of chemicaIs. Let's work together to stop misinformation. A note on CFC's sustainability / eco-friendliness -- CFC is a one-woman business. It is my passion project. I operate out of a spare kitchen in my home and do my best to translate the frugal, sustainable habits I practice in my personal life into this project. I make and use cloths for cleaning instead of paper towels. I am fortunate to be able to source the majority of CFC's raw materials from other small businesses. All orders are mailed in 100% biodegradable packaging. And since some waste is unavoidable when you're making cosmetics, I try my best to either repurpose (ex: turning a lipstick with an air bubble into samples) or recycle (ex: taking plastic film to a verified plastic film recycling service). If you're reading this listing and have made it to here, I just want you to know that there is no shame in being an imperfect environmentalist. Nobody's perfect, and all we can do is our best at the end of the day. :) This product has not been evaluated by the FDA and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. By making a purchase you agree to not to hold Clean-Faced Cosmetics or any officer of the company liable for any loss or injury incurred using Clean-Faced Cosmetics products. Here for a refill? Just shoot me a message and I'll give you a coupon code for 10% off that product! Powdered products are mailed in CFC’s biodegradable cello refill bags, but you’ll need to mail back your container for anything that isn’t powdered (please contact me for the shipping label -- Etsy offsets all carbon emissions created by shipping!). Please remember to clean out your container beforehand and let me know if you have any additional questions!
