You may need to sing or hum it a few times for them to notice one note is higher. Now hum and ask students to show the pitch with solfa hand signs. Use the Solfa Street to help students notice and practice the new note. PRESENT: Tell students the name of the new pitch and show the hand sign using solfa street and/or the snowball notes. Sing the part of the song that includes the new pitch with syllables “mi so la” Have the students sing the song 1 more time with words.
