[13/52] I'm in Italy! And it's wonderful. So so wonderful. I realized that this also means I'm back at the place where I joined Flickr, a little more than two years ago. At first I almost never uploaded, but a year later I started falling in love with photography and without Flickr, I probably would have never come so far. While I was editing this I listened to this beautiful song. And it all reminded me of that feeling I sometimes get when a lot is going on around me. That beautiful, bittersweet, happy, calm melancholy. All at the same time. I don't know if there are words to describe that sort of feeling. But I love it. Oh and most important of all: Happy Easter everyone!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend with lots of fun and happiness :)

Janek Sedlár's photographic repertoire mostly comprises forest landscapes, each time emphasising the dark, spindly silhouette of the trees, whose foliage lights up the composition with its bright colour. His subjects are bathed in a misty, almost fantastical atmosphere, reworked in postproduction using Lightroom and Photoshop. They seem to evoke distant memories, not without a certain sense of melancholy. Although he appreciates the work of photographers such as Lars van de Goor or Alexandre Deschaumes, Janek Sedlár's main source of inspiration nonetheless remains his various excursions into nature, and particularly in the micro region known as Horácko, located in the heart of the White Carpathians mountain range, in South Moravia: The hike in itself is one of the best ways of refreshing one's mind [...], it is better than any other kind of therapy. [...] Photography for me is a spiritual essence that can help me to change my state of mind.

“The hazy, cloudless skies of Indian Summer. Leaves scurrying down the street before the wind. The cold shiver from an arctic blast. Indian Summer. The last warmth of the sun. Chilly mornings and glorious warm afternoons. The Harvest Moon. The Hunter's Moon. The rainy Season. Dry corn stalks clattering in the wind. The touch of frost on grass and window pane. The smell of burning leaves.” Keith C. Heidorn The following is a collection of some of my Fall photography. There’s such beauty in the warmth of Autumn. Blessings, Bonnie
