So here is the third of five upcoming In Colors!!! You have already seen Dapper Denim and Flirty Flamingo (click on color name to see those posts). Well now it's time for... EMERALD ENVY!!!! This is such a beautiful and rich green color. To be honest...I wasn't sure I loved it when I first saw it. BUT...then I paired it with my fave color, Melon Mambo, and all was well with the world. :-) And after playing with Emerald Envy...I LOVE this color! It's beautiful! But don't take my word for it...I will let you decide for yourself! :-) Here is the display board from this color... Look at all the fun projects on this board!!! (I have a total of 4 on the board...will share the other 3 soon!) And here is the one of the cards I made with this color... (Can you spot this card up on the board?! :-) And any guesses what my other 3 projects are?! :-) ) The flower stamp I used is a hostess stamp set in the upcoming catalog called "Fabulous Flora". I embossed it with white embossing powder, stamped the splatter image (from "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp set) in Emerald Envy, and then sponged some Emerald Envy ink over that section to draw your eyes to the flowers. Then added the Melon Mambo "hello" (from Hello You Thinlits), some banners, a Bow Paperclip, and some gold sequins, and you are done! :-) Hope you enjoy this card! Thanks so much for visiting! Let me know if you have any questions! [email protected].

The fabulous flora is a very versatile foliage set which I have used on this card, with a Paisley and poseys embellishment and the clever little touch was to use the bow from the cookie cutters bundle to make a few tiny butterflies, perfect is size for this kind of project. Welcome to my blog. This is where I share my creations with you all. Sometimes I share tutorials and techniques here along with the cards I created using those techniques. Other times I enter my creations into challenges, then share them with you all here. Today is a day where I share with cards I entered into this weeks challenge over at www.jessieholton.com for her weekly Case This Card Challenge. This week we are CASEing Louise Jappe's card pictured below. I decided for my CASE I would use the colour scheme that she used for her card Sweet Sugar Plum Bermuda Bay Melon Mambo Dapper Denim (sentiment) Blushing Bride Pear Pizzazz For my cards I chose the Hostess stamp set called 'Fabulous Flora' This stamp set becomes available to my hostess's as a choice to purchase when holding a workshop, or party. You can even hold your party online! Without further ado I present to you my card entry for #CTC009 'For You Anything' #Fabulousflora #Touchesoftexture2of2 #Hostessgifts #KOCreationscards #Stampinup #Handmadecards #Cardmaking #CTC009 For this card I used a water colouring technique with Aqua Painters and Ink pads. I stamped my image onto thick Whisper White in Stazon Black then proceeded to water colour. I coloured the flower in Blushing Bride the melon Mambo. The stems and leaves have been coloured in Pear Pizzazz. The centre of the large flower has been coloured using Crushed Curry. For the back ground I used a mix of Bermuda Bay and Dapper Denim. As the stamp indicates a messier style of painting, I let the colours bleed outside the lines in some areas. I added the sentiment onto a Sweet Sugarplum strip of card, which I then cut into a ribbon shape. This was adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals. I left the card front as clean as possible, something new for me :) 'Inside View' #Fabulousflora #Touchesoftexture2of2 #Hostessgifts #KOCreationscards #Stampinup #Handmadecards #Cardmaking #CTC009 I used the same process for the inside, making sure that I stamped the image of the paper. This leaves heaps of clean space for a personal sentiment/note to the recipient. For my next card I used a technique I had used before, a long long time ago... Meaning when I was in High School! OMG that was like, eons ago!?! Hang on ....counting the years.... Jeepers!!! OK I stopped counting at 30 :o hehehe Anywho I digress. I was reminded again of this technique by Juan Ambiba and the colour stamping on dark card stock card, created a couple of days ago. You can see the card by clicking his name. When I was my high school Art Class, we quite often used water colour pencils on dark/black paper to experiment and create with. And well, this was almost exactly the same, the only difference being a stamped image to colour in!!! So here is my card using the water colour pencils on dark card stock! 'For you Anything' done on black card stock #Fabulousflora #Touchesoftexture2of2 #Hostessgifts #KOCreationscards #Stampinup #Handmadecards #Cardmaking #CTC009 Just to ass some interest I used the bumble bee from Touches of Texture set 2 of 2 and after making a mask for the Fabulous Flora image I stamped another floral image. The masking enables me to make the last image appear as if behind the first. For the inside of this card, I stamped as per a normal image on white paper, but coloured with the pencils to keep the same feel and texture. On the front image, I used clear Wink of Stella on the main flowers and the Bumble Bee after colouring with my pencils. The sentiment has been created using White emboss powder. I also added 3 Rhinestone jewels for some added sparkle. 'Inside View' #Fabulousflora #Touchesoftexture2of2 #Hostessgifts #KOCreationscards #Stampinup #Handmadecards #Cardmaking #CTC009 I thought I would take a picture of both cards together #Fabulousflora #Touchesoftexture2of2 #Hostessgifts #KOCreationscards #Stampinup #Handmadecards #Cardmaking #CTC009 The card stock used for the card on the left is: Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White and a piece of floral Blooms and Bliss DSP in Dapper Denim and Mint Macaron. For the Dark card I used : Sweet Sugar Plum Whisper White and Basic Black. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used to create this card, I have listed them for your convenience in the carousal below. Thank you so very much for stopping by to see my creations. If you have any question please ask in comments below. I always reply!

You get to see how fabulous Stampin Up is for paper crafting and with Christmas just around the corner how to create your own Christmas cards, gift boxes and much more. If you just want to increase or start your own stash of fabulous crafting products then just click on the link at the top of the page to take you to the Stampin Up website and use me Jane Allmark as your demonstrator of choice. So to today's project Fabulous Flora a lovely hostess set. Thus first sample is created by making a mask (I used the oval framelits) and then sponge the area using our sponge daubers to create a background. I used rich razzleberry and peakaboo peach and the. Stamp the image in black over the top. I mounted on rich razzleberry cardstock and added some coordinating candy dots to finish. This sample is watercolouring with the aquapainter stand then mounting on cardstock and coordinating dsp. The sentiment is using the teeny tiny sentiments a real go to set with all the sentiments you can think of for all occasions. I hope you enjoyed today's projects and the ideas I create in my blog. Please feel to give me the odd comment and thanks for following me.

After all the bright colours of the last 2 days I decided to calm it down again. The colour choice was due to one of the beautiful Fine Shimmer papers from the Fancy Flora suite . The colours are a soft green, a pretty lilac and a gold. They are all absolutely gorgeous with their shimmer and the way they catch the light in real life is just beautiful. So I chose the soft green, called soft succulent, as it's not one I chose very often. Sometimes you have to step outside the box don't you think? So the colour palette was decided and I knew I wanted to use the large background die that is in the coordinating Two-tone Flora bundle die set. This die is a large intricate one that has so many uses. I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to use it as a mask. I started by die cutting it from basic white cardstock. I then cut myself a mat of basic white cardstock and layed the due cut over top. I secured it so that it wouldn't move around. I then took a blending tool and the soft succulent ink and added colour through the die cut mask. This technique is great in that it is a twofer. You not only get the inked image when you remove the mask. But the mask itself has been coloured beautifully!! So with that in mind I made 2 samples . The first uses the inked background. I matted it onto a piece of the oh so shimmery soft succulent fine shimmer paper. I then stamped and die cut the sprig image in the green too. I then used my wink of stella shimmer pen to pick up the green ink and colour the sprigs. This gave a soft shimmer to them. A simple sentiment from the Something Fancy bundle stamped in a darker shade of green called evening evergreen. I die cut the sentiment and added ribbon in the same shade of green behind it. I then turned my attention to the die cut panel. I carefully cut it to size and adhered it to a piece of the green fine shimmer. I love the tone on tone effect. The soft shimmer shines through almost highlighting the die cut piece. I finished the card in the same way as the first one. Now I was in a dilemma! Which did I like the most? The simple elegance of the first card? Or the shimmery finesse of the second? What do you think? Oh and if you like the products they can now be found in my online shop by clicking here.
