I made this birthday card for a friend's birthday on the weekend using the Stampin Up! Fabulous Florets stamp set which you can purchase to the end of the Summer Mini Catalogue on 31st March (just 12 days to go for the Summer Mini Catalogue and Saleabration!). My colours are Very Vanilla, Regal Rose and Always Artichoke cardstock. I stamped the leaves and quote (stamped off once) in Always Artichoke and used my River Rock Stampin' Write Marker and my Colour Spritzer Tool to add a bit of colour to the Very Vanilla cardstock. The frame is made using the...

Hi there! It's Kathy here with you and today I have a Birdie in Blossoms Card to show you using three CottageCutz Dies. I used the bird from the Bluebird Die, the flowers and branch from the Blossom Branch Die, and the frame from the Oval Doily & Frame Die. I used a piece of designer paper (Secret Garden - Graphic 45) with a pretty bird and flower image and enhanced it with the dies matching the colors. The bird from the Bluebird Die, was cut with white paper and colored with Aegean Blue Chalk Ink and Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The beak and feet were inked with Red Brick Chalk Ink. The Blossom Branch was cut with peach cardstock for the flowers and green for the branch. The flowers were shaped with a mat and tool kit, inked with Red BrickChalk Ink, and dotted with Buttercup Liquid Pearls in the center. The branch was cut to piece around the lower corner of the image. The frame from the Oval Doily & Frame was cut with Natural White Cardstock. I added a bow made with Natural Jute String from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the Bow-Maker. I didn't add a sentiment to this, but a small, short sentiment would be cute on the bottom right or as a tag hanging from the bow. Here are pictures of the dies I used on this. I hope this gives you a little inspiration!
Love this fancy photo back!
Hi everyone, this is one of the cards that I made for the new releases for CHA, I have just found this unposted in my blog list, and thought I'd show it here too. I have coloured Saturday Birthday Balloons with distress markers. The papers are from Pion Design, they are Rosa 6x6 from the Flower Frames collection, I have distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz distress tool. Almost all of the embellishments are from Live and Love Crafts. Hugs, Becky xx

Morning Everyone, I'm sure all those in the UK had a fabulous weekend with the sun shining as brightly as it did. I'm hoping it will be doing the same again next weekend, it's a special day for me next Saturday so hopefully lots to look forward to as unfortunately I had to spend rather a long time in my craft room this weekend working on projects behind the scenes so I missed quite a bit of the glorious weather. We did manage an early morning walk on Saturday :) Today, at LLC Sandy has tasked us with the theme of Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. Ummmm, well thanks to LOTV I didn't have to give it too much thought, check out this little image, isn't it just soooooo adorable. In fact I wish I was chilling with a glass of wine, she looks like she doesn't have a care in the world, bless. I've used Pion Designs Floral Frames Anemone and also MayaDesigns XXII, my favourite sheet :) I have added a little gesso and for some texture my favourtie snow tex, which has been a little neglected of late..... ummm best change that. The floral bouquet is made up of the new blue 30mm wild rose, carnation, lily, tulips, 20mm rose, foam flowers, frosted berries and a little clay heart just peeking out. I have also used the fabulous Little Darlings View Finder and found the perfect centre embellishment, the Prima Resin Ceiling Ornament with a vintage brad added to the centre. Another favourite of mine, and yes I know there are soooo many, is the beautiful Lace Princess Grace, soooooooo love this lace, yummy :) Have a good week. Hi, all! This month the blog hop at Mo's Digital Pencil is sweet and delicious as are the "Fruits" on our cards. I chose one of my favorite Fruit girls with one of my favorite fruit - Lemon(s) and got lost in yellow and turquoise. The beginning of the our yummy Hop is at Jak, you should arrive at my place from Danielle's, and hop over to Mina to finish the trip. And if you get lost on the way here is the whole list: Jak, Gretha, Julie, DebbyY, Heidy, Alice, Vili, Alexandra, Anneke, Danielle, Kaly, Mina, IC Ch #10 Lovely lace TG Ch# 196 - HOT HOT HOT! Good morning everyone, I'm here today with my for the new challenge at Midweek Magnolias, our theme this time is 'Beautiful Buttons'. I have used papers from both 6x6 sheets and 12x12 sheets from Pions new collection, the border on top of the lace is actually from the top of the reverse side of the Lady 12x12 sheet. All of the papers have been distressed with my Tim Holtz tool. I don't use this combo enough, but I really like green and brown together. I have coloured Tilda With Winding Flowers with distress reinkers. there is glamour dust and liquid pearls on her flowers and aged green Frantage around her too. Hi bloggers! Silver and celery are the colours of choice for today's card. I used the border stamp from the Celebrations Labels One set by Justrite and stamped it on the celery coloured card using a clear perfect medium pad. I heat embossed it with Silver Shine embossing powder. I used the edger from the Bracket Borders to cut the matching shape around it. Leaving an open area for my focal element, I did the same thing on the opposite side of the card. I lined this piece up with some white card and embossed the Bracket border design into the edge of the white card. I cut four pieces of the Damask Motif die out of white card. These pieces were then added to each side of a Fleur de Lis Square cut out of grey card. There are little "helping hands" on the Damask die which allow them to hold on to other die shapes. Next I stamped the square from the Celebration Labels one set and heat embossed it with silver powder. I cut it out with two of the Scalloped Labels One die shapes. I attached it in a diamond orientation atop the Fleur de lis square. I stamped the smaller square from the same set and embossed it in silver as well. The sentiment was then stamped in the centre with a black Archival ink pad and the piece was cut out with the Scalloped Labels One set. I added it in the centre of my card with mounting foam. I made a rose out of celery card following the direction on my tutorial at the the of the blog. I covered the flower with Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue and "sugared" it with Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Sprinkles. I tied a messy bow out of white seam binding and seated my flower in the centre. I completed the card with a pierced edge on the top and bottom of my card and a few flatback pearls as accents. Finished dimensions are 7" x 9" in size. Sam Poole is on Create and Craft today at 11am and 3pm showcasing her new stamp designs in the singles range that we offer at Creative Expressions (they are already cut and mounted on Umount, ready to use!) Be sure to tune in to see Sam's exciting demos! All for now, Sue x

Hello and happy Monday! This is my project for Challenge #5 at the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog! Remember, you have two weeks to play in the new challenge! Challenge closes April 20th at midnight PT. Challenge #5 Pick a Stamp, Any Stamp! You don't have to be a card maker to hoard stamps! With the popularity of pocket-style scrapbooking (Project Life and Photo Freedom) and the explosion of journaling stamps on the market, many scrapbookers have also become stamp hoarders. Digital stamps are more popular than ever. I am sure that most of us have at least one stamp in our stash! You may "collect" wood mounted stamps, clear stamps, cling rubber, or even digital stamps! Get one out, dust it off, and make it the STAR of your project! We want to see a stamp (sentiment, word art, image, etc.) on your project! Feel free to use more than one stamp, but you must have AT LEAST ONE stamped item on your project. One talented participant will receive this prize, donated by Hampton Art! Please note: since this is such a large prize, we will only pick one prize winner for April. We will choose from the entries to both April challenges. Over $100 Value - Product is NOT included Hampton Art, founded in 1980 in picturesque Long Island, NY, has been inspiring stampers, crafters and papercraft enthusiasts for over 20 years. One of the earliest “art stamp” companies, Hampton has transformed over the years to become a complete provider of creative products such as stamps, inks, papers, kids crafts, stationery, scrapbooking supplies, and card making accessories for crafters of every age and skill level. We focus on working together with other companies through strong, personal relationships and licensing partnerships to consistently bring fun, inspiring products to market. We have a portfolio of brands including Hampton Art™, Studio G™, Diffusion, Ditto™, and our latest addition, Ki Memories®, acquired in 2012. Our products can be found via most national craft retailers at over 5000 stores across the US and Canada. We also ship to 20 different countries across the globe. Hampton was acquired by National Spinning Co, Inc. of Washington, NC, our current home, in 2008. For more information, visit our Website. I am super excited about this challenge, for several reasons. First, I have worked with Hampton Art (on and off) for over three years. Second, I am a (sometimes) stamp designer for Hampton. And third, I love me some stamps and a stamping challenge! After a few "duds" I came up with this card. I used 6 different stamped images! I had such fun paying with stamps and inks and more stamps! I did have blue hands by the time I was finished, but it was worth it! First, I created a black, top-fold A2 size card (5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches). I used peacock feathers distress ink to "grunge up" three different sheets of designer paper. I trimmed each sheet just a tad smaller for each layer. On the third layer, the striped designer paper, I not only "grunged" it with the blue ink, but I also stamped with the Hampton Art/Graphic 45 Harlequin Background stamp. I inked the stamp with Clearsnap Colorbox Black Pigment ink and stamped the image in the corner of the paper. I then heat embossed with Black Soot distress embossing powder. The top layer of the card is a stamped image from the Hampton Art/Diffusion Butterflies Are Free stamp set. First, I used Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed distress ink to "color" a sheet of white cardstock. Then, I stamped the image with black dye ink. After the ink was dry, I fussy cut the image and rubbed the edges with Peacock Feathers distress ink. I used foam tape to pop the image off the card. I stamped the butterfly image from the Hampton Art/Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Three stamp set onto the main stamped image with Peacock Feathers distress ink. I stamped the image again onto white cardstock and fussy cut it. I added a bit of the yellow inks to the fussy cut butterfly. I used some foam tape to pop the butterfly from the main image. Next, I stamped the butterfly postage image from the Hampton Art/Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Three stamp set onto white cardstock with Peacock Feathers distress ink. I used deco scissors to fussy cut it the postage stamp and then added a bit of the yellow inks. I used some foam tape to pop the postage image from the main image. It is hard to see in the photo, but I added some glitter to the edge of the postage image with a Wink of Stella pen. {Yes, I drank the Wink of Stella Kool-Aid!} I decided that the card needed more dimension, so I die cut some flowers and leaves from white cardstock. I inked them with distress inks (Peacock Feathers, Squeezed Lemonade, Shabby Shutters). I put the flowers together as shown. I stamped a sentiment from the Hampton Art/Authentique Keep Me Posted stamp set onto white cardstock. I trimmed out the sentiment with a die cut template and inked the edges with the blue distress ink. I always decorate the inside of my cards. I added some of the blue striped paper and some off-white (inked with the yellow distress inks) to the inside. I stamped the sentiment from the Hampton Art/Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Three stamp set with black ink. I hope you had fun today! Make sure you stop by the Hampton Art Website or Blog or Facebook and tell them hello! They are our AMAZING sponsor for April! Thanks for looking! Challenge Rules are HERE. Morning everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at Magnolia-licious, our theme this time is Anything Goes. I have coloured Lemon Tilda with Inktense Pencils. The papers are from Maja Designs Coffee In The Arbour 6x6 pad, the edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool. Short and sweet I'm afraid, I have so much to do. Hugs, Becky xx
There's something about monochrome cards which I find rather pleasing. This is simplicity itself. I stamped an Impression Background Manuscript stamp in Soft Slate, to pop a section behind this circular aperture. I cut the flower dies in two shades of card and inserted the cut outs of the grey card into the white frames, Just for the heck of it I put just one white insert into the larger flower. Actually I couldn't find the grey bit amongst all the detritus on the floor and on my desk, I could easily have cut another but in fact I quite like the look. The sentiment is from Personal Impressions, stamped with a slightly darker grey than the background stamp (to give a little more definition) and cut with an extended pennant die, with the tails cut off one end. For this card I just punched out squares from a free download. These are my favorite colors. I found a stray butterfly in my scrap basket and added. Everybody can make something like this. The Postcard was a free download too. Jacqueline
