About this Track: —————————— Named after Pedro and Ricardo Rodríguez, the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez has hosted Formula 1 races on and off for the past sixty years. The track was built in 1959 inside the Magdalena Mixhuca public park, and hosted its first race three years later. The circuit’s elevation of 2,238 m (7,342 ft) results in very thin air, which causes difficulties for both the drivers and their cars. It also reduces the drag that cars experience, resulting in higher straight-line speeds.
