My life's tablet is a recap/review application project that can be used to replace the Spanish 1 final exam review or to replace a review packet at the beginning of Spanish 2. The project offers 14 different topics that students can choose from and it required that they design an icon for each "APP" they create. The project will take at least one week to complete depending on the number of Apps that you want students to complete. This project offers choices to students, and it goes beyond the mere grammar aspect of the language. This project can be used in any foreign language (instructions in English). This review is an activity your students will actually LOVE, and I've had so many students say year after year how the connections made during Hot Seat helped them be successful on my exams and the AP Exam. How to Play This is essentially the game Taboo or Catchphrase, but adapted to a PowerPoint and focused on AP Human Geography terms and concepts for Units 1-7. I call this game Hot Seat, and my students ask for it by name. For this activity one student will sit in a desk with their back to the screen/board. A word/phrase will appear on the screen and the class has to work together to get the student to guess the word/phrase. But, of course there's a catch! Students can't say any part of the word itself, and they can't say other words listed on the screen. When the student in the Hot Seat guesses the word/phrase, they get to choose who goes next (ah, sweet revenge)! While it seems like this is a lot of pressure for the student in the Hot Seat, this activity is really for everyone else. Students have to think creatively about how to get the person to discover the word/phrase, and by the end there's always some great collaboration and peer teaching. This bundle includes: This resource includes the following 7 Powerpoint files (editable) with 43 slides each (1 PPT for each Unit). Each file includes a title slide, How to Play slide, Are You Ready slide, and 40 terms from the unit (aligned with released AP exam questions).
