The hoops are old bamboo embroidery hoops. About The Artwork This is an incursion of my artistic work towards looms and mixed techniques, mixing threads, ropes, fabrics and wools and seeking to create a coherent and pleasant aesthetic composition. It is made on a small loom that I have made based on a 72 x 50 cm wooden frame and in this format I was weaving the threads and the braided fabric together with the wool and I also added rope that gave some organic elements that interested me and it is based on the looms of indigenous communities, but the design is a free composition, seeking balance and an abstract style. The center of this large mandala is in the shape of the dream catchers and it has strong and impressive presence on the wall. I call these special pieces mandala's because the weaving technique is similar to the techniques used to draw Tibetan mandala's; from the center outwards in a spiral motion creating movement and a centered feel.
