The "Cloud Pattern" poster by Taguchi Tomoki features an abstract design composed of black, cloud-like shapes arranged in an intricate, overlapping formation. This minimalist graphic, inspired by Japanese art, captures the essence of ethereal clouds through a series of cutout forms. Ideal for adding a touch of sophisticated simplicity to any space.
British artist Carne Griffiths creates light, ethereal works using surprising media. What started out as an experiment with calligraphy inks lead to an entire palette of inks mixed with drinkable liquids such as tea, whiskey and vodka. After discovering these media in a happy accident, Griffiths began creating works with a loose sense of figuration. While female characters are at the center of his work, they become obscured in floral patterns and dripping colors, the organic, fluid quality of which tends to direct the flow of each piece. Take a look at some images of Griffith's work courtesy of Coates and Scarry and the artist after the jump.
Immerse yourself in the ethereal beauty of Nairn Beach as dusk settles in with our exquisite print, a stunning centrepiece from our 'Scottish Beaches' collection. This piece brilliantly captures the dance of twilight hues across the sky and gently lapping waves, inviting the viewer into a moment of serene contemplation. The enchanting canvas is awash with a kaleidoscope of warm oranges, deep purples, and soothing blues that blend together in a bold, modern impressionist style, echoing the dramatic yet peaceful end to a day. The setting sun dips low on the horizon, its fiery orb casting a path of golden light across the rippling tide, creating a natural guide for the eye to follow the breathtaking landscapes. Majestic silhouettes of distant hills command the background, their powerful forms softened by the distance and the vibrant sky. A copse of trees stands dark and contrasted against the vivid backdrop, offering a touch of nature's mysterious beauty. As a finishing touch to this serene scene, the figures of two beachgoers are delicately rendered near the water’s edge—a poignant representation of human connection amidst the vastness of nature's canvas. This print not only encapsulates the splendid tranquillity of Scotland's coastlines but also serves as a daily reminder of the fleeting, yet ever-repeating beauty that each sunset brings. It’s an invitation for a tranquil escape, an art piece that will evoke contemplation and admiration wherever it is displayed.
The apogee of the Symbolist Movement in France was run by its self-appointed high priest, Joséphin Péladan. A selection of paintings from its early years to 1894.
It is interesting to observe the way that female Saints like Joan of Arc enthrall people who in other areas of their life are quite uninterested or even antipathetic toward the Catholic Church. I think this is because the female Saints represent an emancipation of the feminine genius, a true "feminism," that emerged far before the modern movement.

Originally hand painted on natural linen with dye, layers of ink have been carefully overlaid to create a serene ethereal landscape on this wide-width wallpaper. Mountainous shapes are placed on a gold base to heighten the subtle twist of colour and the gradual ombré effect evokes a sense of depth. A perfect design to create tranquillity.
