For all the effort, skill and time it takes to produce a typical work of origami, the result can be ephemeral, limited by the delicate nature of paper. But apply the same techniques and visuals to architecture, and suddenly the intriguing geometric and mathematical qualities of this ancient Japanese art take on a sense of - Page 3
Combining a kinetic timber facade and a typology more often associated with slick glass, FJMT has created this “sublime” office tower that is tuned to the history of its harbour-side site and is “intrinsically Sydney.”

World Architecture Community News - Modular triangular modules form Precht's Farmhouse that connects architecture with agriculture
Bradford Hansen-Smith has been experimenting with structures made from a great many 10-inch bamboo skewers held together with short pieces of rubber tubing. He calls the technique Stickweaving and presents a gallery of interesting examples. Modular units connect to neighboring units with tubing and the entire structure is flexible enough to be collapsed or morphed into various surfaces.

Digital Tea House, a joint workshop in August of 2010 held at the University of Tokyo, Department of Architecture, together with Columbia University GSAPP. Three pavilions for hosting tea ceremony were designed and built in less than one month, in an attempt to bridge technology and culture not only through design but also fabrication. Three teams comprised of 6 to 8 students, each a blend of different nationalities, ultimately produced 3 full-scale tea houses with the same software, primary material, budget, and principal fabrication method.
