As part of our mission to end period stigma for good, we created a book to let children know that periods are completely and totally normal. To prepare kids and parents for when that first period arrives, and to remind them that there’s absolutely nothing “ew” about it. We want the next generation to know that while some periods may be different, all periods are beautiful. As part of this launch, we are donating $5000 to I Support the Girls, a non-profit organization that distributes essential items, including menstrual products, to women and folx experiencing homelessness, impoverishment, or distress. The book also celebrates a new generation of activists and innovators who are working to end period poverty and stigma, and describes the brave new world of period products, advertising, art, and comedy.

Saffron Threads are the dried stigmas of the saffron crocus flower. It is the most expensive spice in the world because each crocus produces only three stigmas, which are laboriously hand harvested during only three weeks of the year. Delicate flavor compliments light meats, fish and poultry. Use to season pilaf, Italian risotto and Mexican rice. Gives bouillabaisse its heady aroma and golden color. Saffron loses flavor after long periods of cooking, so it is best added to a dish near the end of preparation. NET WT - 1 gram Ingredients: Saffron
