Emma Ekwall (Tranås, January 18, 1838 - Stockholm, 1925) was a Swedish artist. She studied at the Academy of Arts in Stockholm from 1865 to 1871. After she finished the art academy she travelled to Munich and Leipzig. She is the first woman in Sweden who received a royal medal for her artwork in 1871. The subjects of her artworks are portraits, still life with flowers and genre paintings with children. She uses an impressionistic style with mild colors.
