"Dulle Griet (Mad Meg)," by Pieter Brueghel the Elder (1561) DIMENSIONS • 9" x 12" (Image: 7.5" x 10.5") • 12" x 16" (Image: 10" x 14") • 16" x 20" (Image: 12.19" x 17") • 20" x 24" (Image: 14.31" x 20") • 24" x 30" (Image: 18" x 25") Archival Inkjet on Fine Art Paper Smooth Surface - Matte Finish - Inset Borders Image Credit: Pieter Brueghel the Elder / Bridgeman Images ART-CENTRIC DESIGN ----------------------------- Vintage art is not standardized. The original works are usually too long, or too short, to neatly fill a store-bought frame. Most shops arbitrarily crop the artwork to match, leading to claustrophobic prints with missing or partial elements. These modifications — sometimes trivial, sometimes ludicrous — are not always shown in the product photos. We believe that the purpose of art is not to fill a frame; it is the purpose of a frame to showcase the art. Our prints have inset borders that make up any differences in proportion between the artwork and a standard frame, so that you can experience the art as the artist intended. They look sharp in beveled mats, may be float mounted, or inserted directly into standard frames; the borders providing a mat-like accent around the image. There are many styles from which to choose. Framing is a fun, creative process that enhances the artwork and livens your space for years to come. Should you like any advice, feel free to reach out. CUSTOMIZATION AND IMAGE REQUESTS ----------------------------- We are happy to customize our prints to fit your frame. Borderless prints may require the artwork to be cropped to fit a new aspect ratio. In such cases, we will provide a mockup to ensure that the final product meets with your approval. If you’re looking for an artwork that is not in our catalog, feel free to ask if we can provide it. We will print any public domain or openly licensed image that is available in high resolution. MUSEUM QUALITY ----------------------------- Giclée process prints are the gold standard in fine art reproduction. We use a matte finish, cotton fiber paper to maximize detail while eliminating glare. Our prints display a wide color gamut, deep blacks and beautiful tonal transitions. Produced using only archival materials, they will not fade or yellow, but maintain their original quality for as long as you own them. HANDMADE DECLARATION ----------------------------- To assure artistic quality, all of our production and design is strictly in-house. Every print has been proofed, calibrated and inspected for defects. We do not drop ship, resell or make use of third-party production partners. SHIPPING AND PACKAGING ----------------------------- All orders ship within one business day via USPS First Class, Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express. Sizes 9” x 12” and 12” x 16” ship in a flat configuration, unless combined with larger prints, which require tubes. We will replace any lost or damaged items at no expense to you. HAPPINESS GUARANTEE ----------------------------- We will promptly address any issues that may arise with your order. If you are unhappy with your print for any reason, you are welcome to return it for a full refund.

WE PROVIDE A 2 PAGE THROWING INSTRUCTION SHEET FOR BOTH RIGHT-HANDED & LEFT-HANDED THROWERS! Joe Skeen is a Kuku-Thaypan elder. He was a little boy when his parents were removed from their traditional homelands and sent to the Palm Island Aboriginal Reserve in North Queensland. In the early 1940`s they were moved again to Cherbourg in South East Queensland. Joe Snr. would often accompany his father when he was hired out to local farmers to work, mostly at cane cutting. It was then that his father taught him how to identify black wattle roots and how to fashion those roots into boomerangs. Among the many people that bought his father’s boomerangs were American servicemen. He still continues his family traditional and makes a variety of different boomerangs including returning, hooked, killer and hunting style boomerangs. Left or Right-Handed Throwers We cater for left and right-handed throwers and it does make a real difference to your enjoyment. If you are left handed you will find it much easier to throw a left-handed designed boomerang. All our returning handmade boomerangs come in both versions so please make sure you select your dominant hand throwing version. If you are looking for an iconic gift from Australia, then this returning boomerang is sure to impress. "Aeneas and the Sibyl in the Underworld," by Jan Brueghel the Younger (1630s) DIMENSIONS • 9" x 12" (Image: 7.5" x 9.94") • 12" x 16" (Image: 10" x 13.25") • 16" x 20" (Image: 12.81" x 17") • 20" x 24" (Image: 15" x 20") • 24" x 30" (Image: 18.88" x 25") Archival Inkjet on Fine Art Paper Smooth Surface - Matte Finish - Inset Borders ABOUT THE ARTWORK ----------------------------- Jan Brueghel the Younger was a member of the third generation of the artistic dynasty founded by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. His father, nicknamed "Hell Brueghel" for his Boschian hellscapes and demon scenes, died unexpectedly in 1625, leaving the younger Jan Brueghel—then just 23—to manage his studio. It is little wonder, then, that the son drew heavily upon his father's compositions, and particularly this representation of Aeneas descending into the Underworld to seek advice from his father's spirit. Circle of Jan Josef Horemans the Elder (1682–1759) "Courtly company in the tavern" This genre work is most likely an allegory of vice. The references to gambling, excessive drinking and the consequences of letting go of ones own inhibitions are expertly conveyed with the use of tonality, symbolism and composition. Often genre works of the period by Horemans the Elder, would explore undertone themes of social etiquette and class identification as well as acting as a somewhat comical commentary on the everyday lives of his fellow countrymen, their professions and pastimes. Jan Josef Horemans the Elder was a Flemish painter of the 18th-century, known mainly for his genre scenes, but he also painted portraits and historical allegories. Horemans had a muted palette as his colours were rather dark, consequently he was often referred to as 'le brun' and 'le sombre'. The work appears unsigned, however as the relining was undertaken sometime ago, we have been advised that it is possible that the work has lost some of its dimension in the relining process, subsequently possibly a signature and date. Markings verso possibly "C 7648" on stretcher, may indicate inventory numbering or sale catalogue. This work came from a large collection of significant European paintings may of which have been recently exported back to Europe.
