This is a striking snake bracelet. This is a museum reproduction of one Roman snake bracelet now housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It is gold plated (over pewter). Snake bracelets in this pattern were found in many places in the Roman world such as Pompeii, Egypt, and Boscoreale and date from the 1st to 2nd century AD.
