The NIH has a great unit on genetics using characters from Harry Potter. I wanted the practice pages to be more like guided notes so I made a few formatting changes. These notes follow along with Lesson 2. The entire unit is available to download at: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/exhibition/harrypottersworld/education/lessonplans/science.html During the lesson, students had the genetics terms matching activity on their tables so they could add to their graphic organizer. (The matching activity is available for free in my store) Thanks! Mallory

I teach in a resource setting with 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students at a variety of ability levels. Our biggest struggle is my kids not being able to read things at their interest level. This has been a total game changer! On days that we don't read, my kids are begging to get to do Harry Potter!!! My students are actually WANTING to hear a book and do the assignments with it. 10/10 would recommend to anyone! - Katherine I. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is a fantastic unit and my students loved it.
