INTRODUCTION I like to design muffin recipes as it is fast and easy. Since I saw some passion fruits being sold in Singapore market very affordably (6 for less than SGD3), I bought a pack and decide to design a passion fruit muffin. This is not my first attempt of using passion fruit to prepare […]
I don’t want to brag or anything, but turning vegetables into candy is my superpower. The first time I did this my family was beyond impressed. Not only do these Candied Carrots make a fantastic topping for carrot muffins, cupcakes, cakes, dessert pizza and more, you can even eat them straight up!I had become so used to hiding veggies in things like brownies, cookies and pancakes in order to get extra veggies into my kids, that the first time I made these, it actually seemed a bit brazen to be flaunting veggies ON TOP of my baking!

edited on 3/21/10: Umm, fangirl moment…Chef Migoya actually saw my post and left a comment! I hope he wasn't turned off by my talk of lactose intolerance earlier! FYI, he also has a blog called The Quenelle – check it out! Personal reveal here: I've made a unexpected and slightly upsetting discovery recently. I've been […]
I have this new 750 muffin recipe cookbook, which I absolutely love, and I’m trying to knock out one recipe at a time to ultimately complete all 750

Well, a little good news for me and for the blog: my sweet tooth has returned! It was truly disconcerting not craving sweets for a while (although I’m sure my doctor was happy), but I found myself wanting dessert again in the last few weeks, just in time for Halloween! Actually, I have a dentist’s […]
Our family has always loved muffin recipes — especially during the days when we were on a really tight grocery budget and trying to stretch every last dollar and ingredient. Muffins are easy to whip up, usually very frugal, and can often be tweaked if you want a healthier version. They are also really versatile! TheyRead More
Banana bread in a compact muffin made with old fashioned oats and a crumb topping.
this muffin is dads favourite, I received this from my neice Kim, who also forgot to put in the butter the first time, and it still came out great, that is when we asked for the recipe in fact. Year 1983.
These light, moist, and tender muffins are packed with pockets of lemon caramel. And if you haven't had lemon caramel before - be ready to have your world changed. It's tart but sweet, perfectly balancing out the muffin while adding unique lemon flavor. It's unlike any lemon baked good you've ever had, but in the best way.
Oranges, they are such a joy to behold. It’s like sunshine packaged in a fruit. I love oranges in any form, though I am a bit partial to the easy-peel, sweet varieties. I love how Boy gets or…
Rum Pot muffins is a German recipe and you would need to have a rum pot, or Rumtopf in German, first in order to make these delicious muffins.

I wish I could say that I first tasted cannelés in France, escaping from a Bordeaux bakery with a glossy brown cake that could easily fit in the palm of my hand and eating it while it was still warm. This is where my boyfriend had his cannelé epiphany. He claims it was so good that it just isn’t possible for any other cannelé, anywhere outside of Bordeaux, to compete.
This cherry clafoutis recipe tastes like French countryside cooking. It's a simple dessert that lets fresh cherries shine as the batter bakes into a custard that's not too sweet. It's easier to make than you might think and perfect for summer.
As part of my ongoing quest to make delicious food and, apparently, fatten up everyone in my life (family, boyfriend, coworkers — I’m looking at all of you), I went ahead and got advent…
The past 10 days have been packed with excitement - too much for me at times. It started off with an urgent change to a new camera and laptop and I wasn't too happy about this at first. I'm not a very technical person, I prefer sticking to a set up once it's up and running rather t
The end of June has somehow magically vanished into the beginning of July, both in real life and on this blog. That must have been a doozy of a July 4th celebration for me…actually, it was a classic “San Francisco 4th of July”, meaning the waterfront was so densely covered in fog that we couldn’t […]
These tarts have a flaky crust and sweet maple syrup filling. These would be perfect with tea or with a strong coffee. Sooooo I have just tried pure maple syrup and it was so good. Of course, the first try had to be with pancakes. 😀 I was given a can of pure maple syrup straight from Canada and it has been hiding in my pantry. It’s not that I am not excited to try it, but I have a habit of keeping food stuff until the expiry date is near. So yeah – blame me for all those ingredients that are soon to be expired. 😀 This maple syrup, though, is not so close to its expiry date. I have been daydreaming about these Maple Syrup Tarts and I knew it was a sign that I have to open that can and have a maple syrup party! 😀 I used the crust from the Filipino Egg Pie I have on the blog, but I used less sugar. The maple syrup is also sweet enough for me, so I used less sugar in the filling as well. The crust was baked perfectly – flaky and sweet. The filling was delicious. Perfect! These tarts are like a hug from your sweetest friend. 😀 I am sharing these at Fiesta Friday #203. I hope you all enjoy these. Happy Fiesta Friday!
