It's almost PaperTrey Ink release day again, and this month's group post showcases Heather's new Mini Scrapbook Series: Tabs set. I've been intending to make a Copic color book showing the natural blending families that I use the most, and Heather's set gave me that extra nudge to get going on this project. So far I have all of my PaperTrey Ink Copic color families in my notebook, and I've added extra stamped pages to be able to add colors in the future. The first few pages are stamped but not colored to leave room for future Blue -Violet and Violet color combinations. After that, I followed my Copic color wheel to put the PaperTrey colors in an order that would be logical and easy to find. The only other blank section is the green section, since the current PTI greens are all Yellow-Greens. To begin the Red-Violet section, I...

Spending some time with a casual E Ink sketch tablet makes me wonder when Amazon will do this on a Kindle.

I love the beautiful creations at Be... Dream... Play... This creation inspired me to make my own little bundle book. I bundled some pages and sticks, a tea bag decorated cover and a strip of sewn fabric to create this little book. The pages were decorated with splashes of walnut ink, bits of ink and pieces of decorated paper. The tea bag cover is actually two tea bags glued together for strength, with layers of paint, ink and stampings, a photo I took a few years ago, and finished off with a layer of wax. A whole bundle of inspiration wrapped together. (thanks eb)

The Stamp People desk calendar is now listed on my Etsy shop. Details are HERE. Thank you for your encouragement and feedback in the long process of making and selecting the stamp people who went into the calendar. Joanne Tomooka is the lucky winner of the give-away, and will get a free Stamp People Desk Calendar at the end of November. Congratulations, Joanne! While the desk calendar can be ordered from Etsy, the Wall Calendar version is available on my Red Bubble shop. It features a slightly different selection of Stamp People on gorgeous, silky-to-the-touch paper stock. Unlike the desk calendar, which will be listed only until November 10, the wall calendar will be a permanent addition to my calendar series and can be ordered any month of the year, any year. You just have to be careful to set it to the right year and starting month before you put it into your cart. Yes, I know it's still August! But winter comes early and stays long in Hokkaido, so we are already busy preparing ourselves and our homes to successfully endure the hardest 5~6 months of the year. Makes you want to move here right away, right?! Well, come for a visit at least. Really.
