"Aurora Borealis" is original, unique linocut handmade with passion and love to printmaking. Northern lights is one of the most beautiful celestial spectacle on the night sky. Lonely cabin under aurora borealis is fantastic place to meditate, celebrate solitude, true hermitage! This handmade print is my tribute to these values. Perfect and unique for hanging on the wall in every interior! The print is fully handmade: designed, carved in linoleum block and hand pressed on the paper. Artwork is a piece from "Hermitages" series. The series is slightly different dimensions than any other before - more vertical. Almost every piece of new series are the same size. The English name isn't precise translation from original. Word "Droga" means "road" or "path" and "dear" at the same time. It was hard to translate this wordplay. The original "Droga - Zorza" is more deep for me. The northern lights sometimes look like celestial road (like on my artwork) and almost always show north direction. This phenomena touches people deep inside to the point when they really can call it "dear". *** Original name: "Droga - Zorza" Black Edition is limited to 50 pieces. Don't hesitate, I'll answer to all of them! Stay safe. *** Linocut is an art technique of hand carving a desired shape (mirrored) on linoleum tile. It's time consuming process that doesn't forgive mistakes. The errors such as careless chisel cutting or badly planned lines are very hard or even impossible to undo and you have to start everything again (or at least cut out the entire defective piece of lino). After that the ink is carefully applied onto linoleum with the special roller. Its very important to control the amount of the ink on roller and linoleum and keep an eye on even distribution of ink on lino. The last phase is the careful pressing the ink onto paper. There are few tools to do it: spoons, special barens or professional presses. The print need to dry right amount of time depending of used ink.

'I thought, what the heck is that!?'
Is there anything more breathtaking and surreal than outer space? Often, I feel like there absolutely isn't. Maybe it's because of all the celestial masterpieces stars, galaxies, and planets paint, effortlessly sweeping us off our feet? Or maybe we feel this way about space because it's something we can't touch, tame, or change? Or perhaps, it's because of that nostalgic feeling you get when it's a warm summer night and you raise your head and look up at the sky and all the stars simultaneously remind you of how truly small you are (but in the best way possible)?
Aurora Borealis in the night sky
A.I. created interpretation of a vibrantly coloured mountains ripple across the landscape with a luminescent moon glowing as stars shine brightly in an aurora filled night sky.
I have been thinking about the fact that it is most likely night in Eden. We don't see it from that omnious red glow and the clouds, but it would make sense to me.
