A beautiful made to order art piece. Perfect for any classic car enthusiast, especially anybody who loves the iconic 1969 Dodge Dart or any other late 60s or early 70s muscle or race car. Please note that due to the price of steel rising over 300% in 2021, I will need to begin adjusting prices to continue staying in business. I recommend purchasing as soon as possible to lock in the price you see now. I hope that this is temporary and appreciate your understanding! This is original hand drawn art by automotive artist Julie Stitt. Her art has been cut into metal using our computer controlled plasma cutting system. All of the finishing work is done by hand, so each sign has a genuine rustic/hand-made appeal to it. It is made of American made 14 gauge (very sturdy, but not too bulky) pickled and oiled steel, which is steel that has been bathed in acid to remove the outer layer of iron oxide which gives it a nice shine and then dipped in oil to preserve it. Please note that because of this, you may notice the oily coating on the sign and it may leave some residue behind if not wiped off. Each piece of this metal is like a piece of wood, it has a "grain" to it with swirls and lines throughout. This metal is excellent for painting, staining, or can be left as is where it will get a light "patina' on it over time. Julie has been drawing cars, animals, and other fun stuff for her entire life and will be happy to design you a custom sign featuring anything you could ever think of! Just shoot us a message to see what we can do for you. Shipping information: I ship to anywhere in the world. All international customers MUST contact me when ordering signs larger than 14" wide. International mail has size restrictions, and wider sizes will result in additional cost. I happily offer UPS 2nd Day Air shipping on my listings. Purchasing this service during checkout results in a faster handling time from me and a "Guaranteed" delivery date from UPS. Please contact me if you need the item by an exact date.

Not to be outdone by Chrysler, Ford had to build and field its own race-duty big-block to compete with the 426 Hemi in drag and stock car racing. In competition trim, the Boss 429 powered Ford and Mercury stock cars to victory in NASCAR and the Mustang to many wins in drag racing. With this exclusive racing pedigree, the Boss 429 is among the most valuable and rare Mustangs ever built. The project was the brainchild of Bunkie Knudsen, noted stylist Larry Shinoda, and other talented Ford personnel. The semi-hemi Boss 429 was so large, it couldn’t fit in the small Mustang, so Kar-Kraft, a specialty car builder, had to shoehorn the engine into the compact Mustang fastback. Author Dan Burrill collaborated with Boss 429 expert Denny Aldridge to give you the straight story on the car, its special equipment, 429 engine, 4-speed Toploader transmission, interior appointments, paint codes, and options. Also featured is the exciting story of developing this monumental engine, engineering the components and parts to fit the engine and chassis, and assembling the cars. Each volume in the In Detail Series provides an introduction and historical overview, an explanation of the design and concepts involved in creating the car, a look at marketing and promotion, an in-depth study of all hardware and available options, and an examination of where the car is on the market today. Also included are paint and option codes, VIN and build tag decoders, as well as production numbers. About the Author A veteran automotive journalist and magazine writer, Dan Burrill co-authored How to Fabricate Automotive Fiberglass and Carbon Fiber Parts. Dan is a former editor of Kit Car Illustrated magazine and he has been working on hot rods, kit cars, and other collector cars most of his life. Burrill collaborated with noted Boss 429 expert and parts dealer Denny Aldridge in the creation of this book. Aldridge has been a Ford Racing dealer for 31 years, won multiple drag race championships, and owns many Boss 429s.
