Playdough Mats are the perfect way to engage students in learning letter-sound correspondences! These mats are designed with an easy-to-follow layout that helps students practice spelling patterns in a fun and interactive way. Each mat includes a spelling pattern, space for students to build the remaining letters of each word, key pictures to help them visualize the word's meaning, and letter-shaped boxes to write the missing letters. Students roll the play dough into a snake and create the spelling pattern to get started. Gradually build the remaining letters to spell each word on the mat. Read each word aloud, and write the remaining letters into their respective letter-shaped boxes. Once complete, continue this same process for all remaining words. This digraph crown art activity helps students practice digraphs. The included digraphs are ch, sh, th, and wh. This set includes: - Direction sheet - 13 different crowns which are three pages each. One page for the front of the crown, one page for the side of the crown, and one page for the items that you glue onto the crown. The included crowns are: - Beginning Ch - Ending Ch - Beginning and Ending Ch - Beginning Sh - Ending Sh - Beginning and Ending Sh - Beginning Th - Ending Th - Beginning and Ending Th - Beginning Wh - Beginning digraphs ch, sh, th, wh - Ending digraphs ch, sh, th - Beginning and ending digraphs ch, sh, th, wh Idea of this activity: The students will color the crown. They will then cut out the pieces, and then glue them onto the crown, and then fit the crown to their head. *As every child is different, these crowns are designed to fit every child's head as a "one size fits all" item. To fit the crown to the students head, I just overlap the side pieces (I don't cut off any excess), and glue or staple them together. When glued together, you may need to cover up one of the pictures to ensure the proper fit for the student. Teacher Prep Needed: -Prior to the students using this activity, you will just need to print out the three pages for the crown that you want to use. You will also need to have scissors, glue, and crayons on hand to complete the activity. Related items: Click here to view all the other digraph products in my store. Click here to follow my store.
