This elegant ink blue evening dress is one of the most recognizable of all of Princess Diana's dresses. Worn at a state dinner given by the Reagans at the White House in 1985, it will always be remembered as the dress Diana wore when she danced with John Travolta. Made by Victor Edelstein, this gown fetched the highest price at the 1997 Christie's auction, bringing in $222,500.00. The dress is currently on tour along with several of the other dresses sold at the auction. The unique design features gathered fabric draped in folds across the hips and bodice with an interesting off the shoulder neckline which overlaps at the front. Pattern includes instructions for gown, tiara, necklace, purse and shoes.
