GRUPO LITERÁRIO (RUSSO DO) EGO-FUTURISMO (São Petersburgo, 1911-1915). O grupo literário vanguardista similar ao grupo Hyleae (v), foi fundado pelo poeta e escritor Igor Severianin (1887-1942) associado aos escritores Ivan Ignatiev e Konstantin Olimpov. O grupo do Ego-Futurismo foi patrocinado pelo poeta Sergey Konstantinovich Makovsky (1877-1962), que publicava a revista Apollo, na qual o grupo lançou o programa: eles publicaram 9 almanaques e vários livros. Severianin ficou famoso por seus panfletos publicados com os sugestivos títulos: Cores Intuitivas (1909) e Poemas Elétricos (1911). Olimpov publicou a Poesia do Aeroplano (1912) e Ignatiev o livro que deu nome ao grupo, Ego-Futurismo (1913). O grupo estabeleceu relações com o poeta Vadim Gabrielovich Shershenievich (1893-1942), que fundou o grupo literário vanguardista Mezanino (São Petersburgo, 1913-1916; v.), traduziu para o russo alguns Manifestos e vários livros do Futurista italiano Filippo Tommaso Marinetti (1914). Before Sergei Diaghilev, it was possible to dismiss ballet as a frivolous excuse for showing pretty girls and dresses without anybody getting too upset. The Ballets Russes changed all that. Formed by Diaghilev in 1911, this extraordinary company unleashed a 30-year whirlwind of scandal, celebrity, glamour and innovation that is now being celebrated in a major exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
