Cora has some delightful dresses including this purple number with white blouse. The lovely trims really make this dress. Buttons with faux button holes, wavy trim and a stylish brooch. Create the wider section of trim on the skirt by running two rows of trim down the front. While this is likely a dress, you could easily make it into separates for a more versatile costume. The look could also be switched up by using a different undershirt. I've noticed that Cora and Violet do this a lot.

Se ainda não conhecem a série Downton Abbey, está na hora de conhecer. É uma série britânica cuja acção decorre no início do século XX e nos mostra a vida dos Crawley, uma familia aristocrata inglesa, e dos seus criados. Na próxima segunda feira, estreia em Portugal a terceira temporada e eu já estou mortinha por ver os próximos episódios! Gosto de séries de época, mas esta fascinou-me particularmente. A produção é fantástica e a dicotomia "upstairs/downstairs", isto é, o contraponto entre a vida da alta sociedade e a dos criados, está fenomenal! E toda aquela politeness, os sotaques... Bem, vale mesmo a pena ver! Outra das coisas que me delicía nesta série é o guarda roupa! O estilo Eduardino foi traduzido para o ecrã com o maior requinte, mostrando-nos trajes aos quais nunca falta o chapéu... Coincidência ou não, as colecções Outono/Inverno 2012 são, a muitos níveis, reinterpretações destes looks. Ao nível de tecidos e texturas, as semelhanças são incriveis! As rendas e veludos dos vestidos de noite e os tweeds e príncipes de gales dos trajes de caça, não esquecendo as sedas lavradas, são agora revisitados nos desfiles da Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Givenchy ou Valentino e, felizmente, também nas montras das Zaras, Blancos, Mangos e H&Ms, a preços mais acessiveis para o comum dos mortais. Os looks de blusas romanticas com saias compridas de cintura subida continuam super fashion e os chapéus cada vez mais in!!! Os penteados apanhados chegaram para ficar e se há pouco tempo atrás a maior parte das mulheres só sabiam fazer tranças, por estes dias as nossas ruas parecem desfiles de cabeleireiro, com imenso glamour!
