Raysa, one of my BFFs, won a custom cake from me months ago. She finally claimed her cake for her birthday last weekend. She said she wanted a nerdy or zombie Hello Kitty. I decided to combine both for one awesome Hello Kitty. You can't really see it in the picture, but I covered the cake in red splatter. I love putting "blood" splatter on cakes!

The invitation by moi (customphotocards.blogspot.com) Red paper lanterns I made from red poster board. I found a tutorial on youtube on how to make them. It was really simple and turned out so cute! I learned how to make Shuriken paper stars (another tutorial from youtube). I folded so many of these babies, I don’t think my hands will ever forget how to make them! Ninja cake made by Terry Zenz (Terrycakes here in town). I loved how it turned out! Just how I pictured it in my head. Some of the food ideas I found online (rice krispie sushi, nunchucks and oreo ninja cupcakes). So fun!! This Ninja cupcake idea I found on Pinterest was so easy and turned out super cute. You just take half an oreo, take off the frosting from the top and bottom of the cookie, add chocolate sprinkles for the eyes and viola you have a ninja!! I made this banner using a free font called Karate. I loved how it looked on the wall. The paper lanterns on the table were another fun craft I made. Again, super easy to do, I just goggled Chinese lanterns and found a tutorial on how to make them. They were fun to have to decorate all around the house the day of the party. Cake made by Terry Zenz (Terrycakes). Would you believe I found these awesome foam Ninja swords from Amazon?! I was so excited! I just added a little tag to them and gave them as favors for the party guests. Personalized Ninja headbands. I just printed out their names on my computer using the font Last Ninja. Then I traced their names onto the white fabric strips using a fine tip black sharpie. I had the guests find their Ninja name on this paper when they first came in. So fun! We were cracking up at some of the names. The kids loved finding out what their Ninja name was. Another activity we did when the kids first came in was decorate their own paper Ninja stars. Then later on we had them use those stars for this throwing practice game. They had to try and knock down as many balls as they could with their paper ninja star. I found this idea from here. This was a hit. Another game we had them do was to try and find the red Ninja lego guy in a bowl of rice using only chopsticks. Everyone loved this one. Another game we did was throwing rubber ninja stars onto this huge target board. I found these Shuriken stars on Amazon. They puncture a foam board like this one but don’t hurt anyone or anything. The kids thought these were pretty awesome! Especially when someone could get it to stick in the board. I found this idea from here. Ninja obstacle course I had set-up outside. It wasn’t too fancy but the kids really loved it. Our family (can you tell Brooks’ is thrilled to be in this picture?! LOL) Cute kids Party guests! Birthday boy! Brooks sneaking in and blowing out the candle before Dalton had a chance to! Little brothers!! Ha ha. Dalton’s buddies from his Kindergarten class. They called themselves the Three Amigos. Too cute. Present time!! Buddies!! The Birthday haul!Dalton had such a fun Birthday party! His friends & cousins were all so cute together. Everyone had a blast. All the smiles, fun and laughter made all the work totally worth it! We love you Buddy! Happy Birthday Dalton!!
Geocaching Cake I have been lurking around CC for a few months and really enjoy reading all the tips and also seeing the incredible cakes...
This was a really bizarre request! A lady ordered last minute, ie that day, for a cake for her husband regarding Geocaching which is something I have never heard of. This was by far not my best cake as I would have loved to have done branches and leaves with a bit of life in them but unfortunately had no time to allow them to drive. Anyway the women was very pleased and I was disturbed to discover that my husband appeared to know all about the unusual past time of Geocaching!
