Coated with a flavoursome masala and fried in coconut oil, this Kerala fish fry is the best! It's delightfully crispy on the outside and succulent inside!
I found an old art book in my room with a picture of this. . . Example from old art text book. I had to try it with my "extra" 1/2 hour classes. We get a few classes for an extra 1/2 hour. I hate for those classes to get too far ahead of the others. It's also such a short amount of time (usually class is 1 hour) so I like projects that have little mess so they have a lot of work time. Basically all you need is paper, a black marker and crayons (optional) Here is my example. I will photograph the student work which I saved for a bulletin board next year. First draw a curved loopdy loop line. That's the technical term for it! My example. Aren't these fish happy. A second grader made them. More to come in the beginning of next school year! Overall, the kids got creative with their fish, added treasure boxes, seaweed, pirate ships, etc. and it was a very relaxing, zentangle (excuse the reference) kind of project. Hope this little project can come in handy for you one day when you need a creative lesson but only have marker, paper and a half hour!
I! Loved! This! Movie! French 80's teenage lion tamers in love? Sign a girl UP. I caught a screening of Diva at the Belcourt a few years...

This little enamel pin is perfect for measuring when you're in a bind (as long as your type isn't over 6 picas high). This pin is approximately 1.5"x0.5" with black dye metal and cool grey enamel fill. Each pin comes on The Paper Carnival backing card. Established in 2017, The Paper Carnival is a collaborative project between book artist Julie Chen of Flying Fish Press and Keri Miki-Lani Schroeder of Coyote Bones Press. We started The Paper Carnival as a place to create "bookish" items and collectibles outside of our usual artist books. Our first release is a series of book art related enamel pins, which much more to come!
