Provide your K-2 students with capitalization, and punctuation practice with these NO PREP worksheets. These worksheets can be used to complement any curriculum. I have found that some curricula lack daily practices that can be used throughout the year. I created this pack due to the minimal student practices our curriculum provided on this skill. This pack has been very helpful to my students. There is a lot of variety in this pack! Some pages include sentences with no punctuation or capitals. I have found that lower elementary students have difficulty capitalizing sentences and proper nouns and knowing where the sentences end. Young writers need lots and lots of practice with these skills. It is for this reason that I created these capitalization and editing practice sheets. I used them 1-2 times a week in my classroom throughout the school year. I was impressed with my students’ improvements as the weeks progressed! I find that about halfway through the school year, simple skills such as capitalization and punctuation get forgotten. You can use these activities as morning work or at a center or for intervention. You can print the anchor charts provided on 8X10 or 11X17 paper to display in your classroom during your lessons.
