Bible ABC's: V is for Vegetables Daniel, Shadrach, Meshack and Abed-Nego in Daniel 1:12 These lessons can be used without the alphabet theme. Consider these an update with new ideas and printables! This easy to make and use Flip Book has the color and black & white. The Spinner Wheel's are fun for kids and easy to prep. Add vegetable stickers for more fun. There is not much to find on vegetables, so there I included the picture to color and a picture with mazes . A crossword and word search are included and have the teacher's answer sheets and a vegetables color by number code. The first is a Reader Worksheet. The wording from the scripture is as easy to read as possible with sight words while keeping to the key points with easy to answer questions. The second is a fill-in-the-blank worksheet. Color and black & white are included for both. I designed the Trip Strip to be a cut & glue timeline. This one shown has lines for the students to write about each event. Or, they can write the scriptures. There is another worksheet without the writing space. These can easily be used for mixed age groups. Cut and glue according to directions. This is not included in the application pack. Click here to download. These Event Cards can be used as smaller visuals and they can be shuffled for the student to re-tell the events and lay them in order. The same full-page size visuals and pictures-to-color can be downloaded below. There are alphabet mazes and worksheets included. These are half-sheets and can be used in Interactive Notebooks. Click here to see a free video on how to make and use Interactive Notebooks. There is a set of 5 and 10 piece puzzles. Click here to download the lesson and application printables. There is a one-page foldable book in color and black and white. These pages can also be cut apart and used as flash cards to put the events in order. Click here to download. Click here to download the updated visuals. The file includes Daniel 1-3. All are not shown. (These are not included in the application pack.) Click here to download the pictures to color. (These are the same as the visuals but are black & white.) Click here to see other Old Testament lessons in the Bible ABC's series.

A master bedroom addition makes room for a graceful bath that fuses old and new
Okay folks, this makeover isn’t about pretty, it’s about function. You saw what our tiny master closet looked like: Help me, Rhonda. I really let it go because I knew I was EVENTUALLY going to get to it, so why bother? I had this rad plan when my husband was going to be out of town for 3 days to surprise him with a master bedroom makeover when he came home. I was going to be awesome and organize the closet, paint, makeover a dresser, make a headboard and create a beautiful retreat to welcome him home. Then, I got sick with a stomach bug the day he left. Then 3 of the 5 kids got it. Uggghhhh. Soooooo, I greeted him with a closet makeover and some Lysol instead. First, I took EVERYTHING out of the closet, removed that big long closet rod/shelf, and then sent 40% (thank you Katie Goldworthy in the comments for the 40%!) of the stuff to the Goodwill. Out went anything that hadn’t been worn the previous year. That eliminated a lot. The thing that bugged me most about this closet was the dead space on the sides that made it really hard to get to the clothes at the end of the rod. So, I tried to make the dead space work for me by placing two rods on each side and made the clothes face out to me. Supplies you'll need: * a drill * we used a wooden closet rod but with the price of wood these days you're probably going to want a metal adjustable one and some wall anchors if you won’t be drilling into a stud in the wall. I did the same thing on my side and that doubled our closet space right there! Our closet light needs to be replaced~it was smelling hot (yikes!) so I didn’t mess with it and the pics aren’t great, but you get the idea. Then, for the middle section I picked up two brackets with the rod holders and mounted another clothes rod and a shelf on top. You could use a scrap piece of wood sanded down as an option as well. I also got a cube organizerfor 39.99 plus a few bins to hold socks, paint clothes, swimsuits, etc. Then, I added a couple of pretty knobs and that was it. We were using part of my son’s closet across the hall for suits, skirts, ties, etc. but I was able to move everything into this closet and the 2 dressers we have in the room. Isn’t it amazing what throwing stuff out and making a closet functional can do for your mood?! I love our closet now :) Have you come up with any creative solutions for small closets? We had our first day of school with students Wednesday and I forgot how utterly exhausting and mind blowing that first day is! We did lots of rules, routines, and procedures but also made time for some fun first week things. Here is what we have been up to! You can purchase these Scholastic Order Form activities from Clutter Free Classroom HERE! I also introduced the students to the Activ Expressions! They were literally asking me about them ALL week long and so Friday, we took a Multiple Intelligence Survey using the device! I adapted this activity from Laura Candler's printable survey which you can download free HERE! You can download the flipchart by clicking the image below. Important Note: You must have Promethean Activ Inspire software installed on your computer to OPEN and use this file! Please do not download otherwise! I also made some labels to go on my Activ Expression bins. You can download those by clicking the button below! I have also decided to implement brain breaks into my classroom this year! We needed a little wake me up on Friday morning so we watched this HILARIOUS parody of I'm Sexy and I Know It, called I'm Elmo and I Know It! I am definitely adding this to my brain break file! I plan on making some brain breaks sometime this week. Stay tuned to find out how I plan on incorporating this bad boy into my brain breaks! I absolutely can't wait for it to get here!!
