Buy “Fenja” together with “Fenja Aran” (new separate pattern with 19 sts on 10cm) and get “Fenja Aran” for half price! You only have to put both patterns into the same cart, and the price will be calculated automatically at checkout. Fenja is one of the two ferries going from Esbjerg to Fanø (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan%C3%B8), my favorite island for spending a relaxed holiday at the Danish seaside. For me, the ferries – although practical ships and nothing beautiful about them – represent the final step on the way to the island, leaving the mainland behind and diving into the vacation. (By the way, the other ferry is called Menja, which has provided the name for the ‘sister’ tunic/ sweater from Light Fingering weight yarn which was published a few weeks before, the sunny weather version.) Fenja, however, is meant for the grey, cloudy, colder, even stormy days when you need a cardigan to keep you warm. For both Fenja cardigan and Menja sweater, I am using my ‘YoRa’ construction, top-down with Raglan increases in the back and yoke increases spread evenly over the rest of the row, for a rounded front neck. Fenja cardigan is started at the neck with a provisional cast-on and worked top-down. The basic 10-row-repeat uses a simple slip stitch pattern in 2 variations to lower the front neck a little bit. After the yoke is done, the body is really mindless knitting. Pockets are worked separately and joined later. All edges (including buttonholes) are worked in two colors at the very end, using a 2-color-bindoff method. Yarn requirements: Use a Sport weight yarn which knits up to the gauge of 24 sts x 34 rows. 1250/ 1350/ 1450/ 1570/ 1700 m of main color (MC) needed; 100-150 m of contrast color (CC) yarn in 1, 2 or many different shades. (For my sample in size L, I have used 415g MC and 10+20g CC.) This design is a cooperation with Wolle Willich - please see here and here for their special yarn from local sheep which I have used. Buttons: I suggest 10 (15mm) buttons. Bust width for sizes S/ M/ L/ XL/ XXL: 88/ 96/ 104/ 112/ 120 cm.

Fun Temari Thread Ball DIY Tutorial
This pattern is currently being updated to have a #sizeinclusive size range! If you have the current version, you’ll receive the update as soon as it launches. The MELIDES dress is the perfect everyday summer dress with a twist: It’s a tailored piece. You will be able to easily put together the perfect fit for your unique body size and shape. Fear not if, like me, you have to get your bikini tops and bottoms as separates – this dress is here to hug all your curves and concerns! It’s two dresses in one. You get a deep V-neckline and button band on one side, that you can wear at the front for a cute day look, and a square neckline on the other side, which you can also wear at the front for a very elegant evening look with a sexy buttoned back. #reversibledesign It’s flattering. I was inspired by sewn pieces while creating this dress. The use of darts, for example, serves both a functional and a formal purpose. Together with the button band, these darts elongate your figure and accentuate your curves. A similar detailing at the waist accentuates your waistline. The choice of needles and yarn makes for a light fabric with fluid drape, which feels like a second skin and is perfect for warm weather. It’s all about the details. A seamless construction in smooth stockinette stitch, only interrupted by the intentional accent lines. A delicate hem that doesn’t roll or curl. Neat I-cord edges that blend with the main fabric while lending it some structure. And lastly, an elegant button band which will lend the dress its character: dress it up with mother-of-pearl or enamel buttons; choose corozo or wooden buttons for a more casual touch. TAILORED KNITTING This dress has a tailored construction and uses a unique sizing system to fit you like a glove. Before you start knitting, you will need to do a little setup work. This involves taking your measurements and doing a few simple calculations with the help of the pattern. The pattern also includes the MELIDES calculator, to help you through length tailoring, so that you don’t have to do any complicated maths. #tailoredknitting AVAILABLE SIZES Tailored sizes are available for bust circumferences 76 - 128 cm (30 ½ - 51’’). The pattern includes detailed written explanations and/or video tutorials for all these techniques. The setup work needed to nail this dress, the multiple customization options and the complexity and length of the pattern make it more appropriate for experienced knitters, and definitely not appropriate as a first garment project. When you ask me why I love brioche knitting, this is the answer! It is so squishy, always surprising and never becomes boring! The WALANDA hat is showing little hearts all around and a wonderful crown solution. The transition from brim to pattern is perfect to make you familiar to the pattern, which is a combination of well-known brioche stitches. The hat has a brim, is very stretchy, slightly slouchy and well-fitting at the same time. It’s important to note that there is no 4-stitch-decrease to be knit. You can do it, knitters! The hat can be knit in multiple sizes only by changing needle size and gauge; Block the finished cap over a steep-sided bowl or other head-shaped form to smooth the crown. Full text plus charts for the border. This pattern is written in easy to follow text with special stitches explained. Each leaf is knitted in one piece without having to break the yarn to work one side of the leaf and then the other. Border is knitted in one long piece with the resulting short ends sewn together. The border corners are mitered using short rows but no wrapping! The many blackberry stitches cover the holes that naturally develop when making short rows. The ancient Celts prized the oak over other trees and today the oak wood is still prized for its hard wood and natural beauty. Each few (letter) of the ancient Irish writing called Ogam (pronounced owam) is associated with a sacred tree. The Ogam few called "duir" represents the oak and is incorporated on this pillow pattern. This design is one in a series of Celtic botanical knits that I created to draw attention to the beauty of our planet.
I've been meaning to post some of my crochet patterns for a while but life has been busy! :) Here's one for a triangle dishcloth in crochet. Why triangle, you may wonder? I made one on a whim once to use up a leftover ounce of cotton yarn from some other project, and discovered that a triangle dishcloth fits the shape of my hand perfectly and as such is AMAZING for wiping things down, such as the kitchen table! You know how usually you wind up kind of wrapping the dishcloth around the ends of your fingers and pinching to hold onto it? Well no more hanging onto your cloth with these triangles. As I said they just fit the shape of your hand and make a bowl of cherries out of scrubbing the kids' fingerprinty mashed potato or spaghetti sauce smears off the dining table, even after they've dried on. :) This pattern takes approximately 1oz of worsted weight cotton yarn per dishcloth, is crochet in continuous round in single crochet, and works best if you have 2 subsequent sizes of hook like E & F or F & G or G & H. I think an F & G work best if your guage and tension are usually spot-on. If you are using a 2oz ball of yarn such as Peaches & Creme or Creme de la Creme then you can get 2 dishcloths out of it- I would recommend starting a dishcloth at each end and crocheting 1-3 rounds on one cloth, then 1-3 rounds on the other, alternating until you run out of yarn in the middle, so that both cloths are the same size regardless of your personal hook choice or guage. A perfectly matched pair of dishcloths makes for a sweet gift. This is an easy pattern and is written in a way that beginners will hopefully have little trouble understanding it. RND is round. SL ST is slip stitch. CH is chain. SC is single crochet. You may need to look up the magic ring if you're unsure what this means. Try YouTube for videos. Visuals make everything less confusing, IMPO! Want to add it to your Ravelry que? http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mirages-easy-triangle-dishcloth EASY TRIANGLE DISHCLOTH pattern by Jessica Mama Mirage (2010): ROUND 1: With your smaller hook, do the magic ring (you can look it up on YouTube if you're unsure what this is) and crochet 6 sc into said ring, then cinch it up tight and as you continue on in the following round, crochet over your tail so you won't have to weave it in later. Do not slip stitch, do not chain up, do not turn: this pattern is worked in continuous round. ROUND 2: Sc in first sc of round 1, (sc, chain 1, sc) in next sc, *sc in next, (sc, ch 1, sc) in next, repeat from * once more, that was round 2. Do not slip st, do not chain up, do not turn. You will continue to work in the round continuously without chaining up or turning for the duration of this pattern. ROUNDS 3-17: Put a stitch marker or a scrap of contrasting yarn between your last st of rnd 2 and your first st of rnd 3. CHANGE HOOKS! From here on out you will use your larger hook. Sc in top of first sc of round 2. Sc in next also. (Sc, ch 1, sc) into the first chain-1 space of the previous round. * Work 1 sc into each of next 3 stitches. (Sc, ch 1, sc) into next ch 1 space. Repeat from * once more. Sc into last st of round. Move your stitch marker/yarn scrap up to the end of this round and continue on in this manner: work 1 sc into each sc, work (sc, ch 1, sc) into each chain 1 space, move your stitch marker/scrap up with each round. Do this until you have 16 rounds. Round 3 has 3 single crochets in between each (sc, ch 1, sc) corner as described above, round 4 has 5 sc between corners, round 5 has 7 sc between corners... and henceforth you add 2 sc per side per round. So on round 6 you have 9 sc per side, and on round 16 you should have 29 sc per side of your triangle, not including the (sc, ch 1, sc) in each corner. Your final round, round 17, should have 31 sc per side, not including the (sc, ch 1, sc) in each corner. ENDING: As if you were beginning a round 18, **sc in each of next 3 stitches. Then slip stitch in each of next 3 stitches. Tie off, remove your marker, and hide your last yarn tail. **NOTE: Depending on how you crochet and the size you'd like your finished product, you may stop on any round before round 17, or keep going for another round or several. Wherever you end, do it as if you were beginning the next round, as detailed above. ** If your finished dishcloth is warped or lumpy looking you can put a damp cloth over it and iron it flat through the damp cloth, then straighten the edges out and leave it to cool and dry someplace with good airflow. For gifting purposes you may like to roll them like a crescent roll and tie with a scrap of yarn, then unravel the ends of the yarn scrap for a decorative look. A couple more pics with triangle dishcloths in them: Did you like this pattern? Want more? Let me know which one you want me to post next! I have written up dishcloth patterns for a ripple and a leaf shape, and have contemplated copying down a pattern for a Sunflower novelty dishcloth I came up with too. :) ~*Jessica*~

The possibilities for these crochet eyes are endless! You may want to use them on dolls or any other amigurumi figures. But these eyes could also be used to embellish iPad covers, or should I say eyePad covers. Or use one eye to decorate your iPhone cover. They would also look great on a bag or box lid. I personally like to make EYE BOOKMARKS. The bookmark pattern (string and how to attach it to the eyes) is included. If you are familiar with the basics of crochet then you can make these eyes too. The pattern contains clear descriptions with 30+ PHOTOS that show the process. Hook: Depends on the yarn you use. Yarn: Any yarn you like, depending on how large or small you need the eyes to be. I have made these eyes using mercerized cotton (fine/sport weight with a 2.5 mm/C hook so that the eyes feel firm and keep their shape) and acrylic yarn (4 mm/F hook). Eye size 2.5 mm hook: approx. 5 x 8cm / 2 x 3.2in Eye size 4 mm hook: approx. 6.3 x 11cm /2.5 x 4.6in The pattern is written in American terms, but I have included a list with British terms as well.

Crocheted Heart Garland, Valentine Garland, Nursery Garland -Garland is approximately 6 feet long and features 6 crocheted hearts. **Listing is only for Hearts on the string, no other items in the pictures are included.** - Hearts are approximately 2 1/2” wide, and 1 3/4” long. -Hearts are made of cotton yarn and are completely moveable along the jute cording. I leave the ends of the jute unknotted, that way you can move the hearts around into different patterns, wash the hearts if needed, and tie or knot it however you need. Restringing the hearts is easily done with an embroidery needle -If you would prefer the garland to be strung on cotton cord, that choice will be given in a dropdown menu when ordering. -Colors include Terra Cotta, Antique Gold, Gold, Blush, Spa, and Sage. My favorite! These muted colors are so pleasing to the eye, be that in a nursery or part of your regular decor.
