I love mixing together different levels of detail and smoothness in a photo. I think it's important to have a series of transitions. This one has many transitions, jumping from smooth dull colors to riotous textured colors to bright smooth areas to dull-colored highly textured areas. It's a fun way to process a photo because it comes out a little different every time, and I'm not ever sure I could re-create this. Venice, Italy

I wasn't allowed to bring my tripod inside, so I had to try to be steady-freddy handheld! It makes it a little easier holding the Sony A7r Mark II because of the sensor-stabilization. I can shoot handheld as slow as 1/5 of a second and still get a steady shot! It's quite incredible actually… - Trey Ratcliff Click here to read the rest of this post at the Stuck in Customs blog.

This is one of the best views of the awesomely named Remarkables that I have ever seen… I was so happy to get to the top of Deer Park Heights — I hope they open it up to the photographic public soon and stop with all the family feuds… no one Really Likes Richard Dawson anyway.
