Hello all my lovely crafty people how are you? I will a HUGE MAHOOSIVE thank you to everyone who left comments about our Rollercoaster week lol it was certainly something I wont ever forget. He really is our little miracle & he's doing really well, he's even on milk now through a nasogastric tube in his nose. Okie dokie I'm here with My Crafty Heart creation & I've used one of the Mixed Media Prima Dolls we have seen floating around. I have to say though that these are pretty addictive. I've used 'Prima Doll 3' & I've used a 'Prima Tag' & decorated it, these tags do come already printed on so you dont have to decorate them but I put the decorated part at the back. I added a 'Prima Trinket' & made a rolled flower with the new Impression Die & gesso'ed it up....not sure if gesso'ed is a word but its in the 'Victionary' I cut parts off other sheets of paper from the 'Prima Lyric' pad & layered them up, I sooooooooo love this pad its my favourite, I have 2 & I've just ordered another one ;0) I coloured this Prima Doll with Copics........ Colours used are....... E11, E21, E00, E000 E29, E27, E23, E21 C5, C3, C1, C00 I've made a butterfly using Memory Box 'Isabella' die & 'Pippi' die & added Stickles around the edge. I also added a sentiment 'Tag' from Little Darlings. Added lace & seam binding, both from my stash & made a bow & added a Melissa Frances 'Pearl' to the centre. These tags & dolls are really addictive, I did 2 with 2 different dolls, will show you the other one later in the week, its a busy week with DT work lol. Pop on over to My Crafty Heart & see what yummy things Teresa has in her store. Also there are offers of the week on every week. At the moment you get £1 off all Marianne Design Dies. Ok will go now as I've got my grandaughter here while mummy & daddy are with Arjay. Will pop round later to see you all, I have loads of catching up to do. Thanks for stopping by your visit is really appreciated mmwah. Squishy hugs & funky love to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Vicky
Coffee and Card LIVE REPLAY New Hearts & Hugs Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! Five cards made with a stamp set I bought for just 2 sentiments?

Webster's Pages is shipping out all of their new collections this week so there is lot's of excitement going on at the Webster's Pages blog! We're sharing new projects made with all of our favourite new collections, and for me a big favourite is "New Beginnings"...I love the sweet florals and Spring colors in this one, the perfect 'happy' fix for those grey winter days. I made the card above using some scraps I had left over from a layout I made, added one of Webster's Pages new Charms and some blooms and Perfect Accents.....quick and easy!! Here's a close-up of some of the page details....taking a minute to add a little machine stitching sometimes makes all the difference in adding the finishing touches to a page. I've been asked by a few people how I stitch. I almost always do machine stitching as I'm usually short on time! But I also should mention that I use a heavy gage thread and set the stitch on one of the highest settings so I get a larger stitch....this tends to give the stitching on the project a little more 'umph'! Since I was in the mood for cardmaking, I thought I'd make another one up using some of my older stash from the Websters Pages Best Friends collection... I love the book paper in this collection so I thought I'd use this paper and try stamping on it to create a nice feminine page. The brown brocade papers is also from the Best Friends collection....the chipboard is of course Dusty Attic. Hope you liked my cards....and get ready.....these new collections should be in your local stores soon! xo
This Valentine's Day craft activity combines Bubble and Squeak's current interests. Bubble still loves rainbows and putting colours in 'order' and Squeak has a new found fascination with 'big and small'. Everywhere we go lately she will inform us about the size of everything; "a big tree!", "a small baby!", it's very sweet :) This activity had a few stages that we did over a couple of days and the results look great hanging on the wall, very colourful! WE USED: * Thick cardboard (we cut up an old packing box) * Blutac or sticky tack * Paint (we used rainbow colours) * Scissors * Pencil/pen * Glue Optional: * Ribbon * Heart template (we made ours by tracing heart shapes from the computer screen onto paper) * Hole punch First step was drawing heart shapes onto our cardboard and then cutting them out. We made six hearts, each one a bit smaller than the previous one. I forgot to take a photo but we created a template by resizing heart shapes on PS on the computer and then tracing them onto paper from the screen (if you try this use a soft lead pencil and don't press too heavily or you could damage your screen). We then cut out the paper hearts and used them to trace onto the cardboard. Using blutac we stuck each heart onto more cardboard so they wouldn't move around while we were painting them. You could also paint them before cutting them out but I wanted the girls to be able to feel the shapes and put them in size order themselves. Bubble painted her hearts very precisely in rainbow colours while Squeak went all out and painted everywhere! Once they were dry we used a hole punch to make a hole in the center top of the largest heart. Then we began gluing and stacking our hearts. The girls sorted them into order from biggest to smallest and then stacked them together. The end result is really colourful and has a great textured look because of all the layers.

Last week I was able to introduce the 2024-2026 In Colors to my stampers at my monthly class. I think they were overall well received and people seemed to like that they were brighter and more cheerful than the 2023-2025 set which are definitely more muted. I designed one of the class projects so that they could choose one of the new In Colors to work with. I didn't take a photo of each of the other colors but just imagine the exact same card just with the other In Colors. This one is showcasing Peach Pie with a Peach Pie base, then a layer of the 2024-2026 In Color DSP with the same color stitched ribbon tied around it. Using the arched heart die and a Stylish Shape circle the hearts are cut from the top. Then a piece of Peach Pie cardstock is placed behind the heart cut outs. The circle is then popped on dimensionals. The little hamster (or as one of my customers pointed out a quokka) is stamped in Pecan Pie ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock. We used a Pecan Pie and Melon Mambo colored pencils and a blender brush to give the little cutie some color. Then he's die cut and popped on the circle with dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray under the strip of DSP. It was fun to see which colors my customers gravitated towards. All of the products used to make this card can be purchased in my ONLINE STORE. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Hearts & Hugs Ink: Pecan Pie, Basic Gray Paper: Peach Pie, Basic White, 2024-2026 In Color DSP, Crumb Cake Accessories: Hearts & Hugs dies, Stylish Shapes dies, dimensionals, Peach Pie Stitched ribbon, colored pencils, blender pen

(In Memory of JoAnn Sampson © 2006 - 2010) My daughter is 34 yrs old now, as has grown up wearing these poncho's as have all my Granddaughters. These can be made for newborns up to XXXL if wanted, it depends on you and how big you want them (different size yarn & Hooks makes all the difference). They are great with matching hats as well. Add fringe to set the accent on the bottom of this shawl/Poncho or scallops. You decide.
