Hello and welcome to the first of two days of fun reveals, projects, and giveaways to…
It's release day! Yay! The Garden Party Collection from The Greetery will be available for purchase today beginning at 10 am EDT! I have a bonus project for you today, PLUS a little tutorial on how I made the tea box favor a few of you asked about! You can find the new collection HERE! Tea for two in the atrium, please! ha ha! My card for today features quite a few of the new products, but shaken up a bit to see them in a new way or with different possibilities! To begin, I used the new Atrium Hot Foil using silver foil on Kraft Gray cardstock. I also had a leftover wisteria branch from yesterday, so I added it to the top of the card using foam squares. I used the pigment powder method on the two teacups that Betsy shared in her video on day 1. I added some Aqua Mist ink over the top to color the two teacups. I just HAD to add another sandwich from the Fancy Finger Foods die collection; they are seriously so much fun....much more fun than making real sandwiches! ha ha! I added some lemons from the lemonade stamp set; just perfect to tuck inside the tea cups! The sentiment is die cut and then stamped using the Brew-Tea-Ful stamp set. You can see some of the details a little bit better with this close-up photo! I had a few of you ask how I made the little tea favor box from day 1. It's SO easy and one of my go-to box styles for quick and easy packaging. Here are a few different shots to give you an diea of what the sides look like. This box holds 4-5 tea packets....there is 5 inside the box when I took the photos. I cut a piece of Gray Kraft cardstock measuring 8 1/2 by 3. Score it at the intervals I've shown. The front and back are 3 inches and the sides and bottom are 1 inch. You will be left with a 1/2 inch 'tab' that you will use to add adhesive. Use your bone folder and make all of the score lines crisp. Cut from the bottom up to the solid horizontal score line on each of the vertical score lines. Remove the portion that is shown in the bottom left corner. You can see it a little bit better in this photo. Add a piece of ScorTape to the 1/2 inch tab. Add another strip to the INSIDE bottom flap. Adhere the 1/2 inch tab first and then fold up the bottom and secure with the ScorTape. I found THIS old tutorial that you could use as well for something different, but using all of these fun new tea stamps/dies! I gussied up the outside with another tea cup that was made using the exact same technique as the two on today's card. I tucked in some extra lemons for some added detail! Here is the link for the new collection: Garden Party Collection! Thanks for fluttering by!

Hello and welcome back for day 2 of full reveals for the Handiwork Collection from The Greetery! I'm glad you're all loving this new release as much as I am...thank you for your sweet comments yesterday! The official "meet and greet" for today's featured products is HERE; you'll be able to see all of the details for each new product. Also, make sure to leave a comment here and on all of the designers' blogs for a chance to win one of two $50 gift certificates to the shop! My first card for today uses the precious new "Sew Vintage" stamp/die set. I am absolutely smitten with it. It is easy to assemble and 'sew' much fun! It comes with a handy guide to ensure you will get great results. I was a little worried thinking I would have to stamp a bunch of these tiny filigree details on the machine, but it is all one stamp and then you can add the little word sentiments on the top. I chose the darling 'sew lovely' sentiment, but there are a few others for variety. For this card, I used the Hoopla Round die and the Hoopla Round Inserts die. This provides that sweet stitched detail around the edge, just perfect for this card. The beautiful sentiment underneath the machine is also from the 'Sew Vintage' stamp set. I couldn't resist adding a few more of the Embroidered Blooms that were showcased yesterday; they give the perfect touch for this card. I did a tone-on-tone effect with the Embroidered Background stamp; Sweet Blush cardstock and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide ink. You can see it a little bit better on the top right corner. Eep! My second card for today uses the CUTEST new Notionable die....it is the cutest thing EVER!!! The scissors, the tomato pin cushion, the thimble and thread....EVERYTHING!!! I used a brad so the scissors are hinged and actually work! They are stuck down, but still....right???? I thought it would be fun to create a 'sewing box' type card using the beloved Curio: Cover Die and the Curio: Divider and Details die. For those of you who don't know, I also have a (much neglected) sewing blog called Thimbles and Thread and this whole release is calling me to get back to it! ha ha! I used all of the elements included in the Notionable Die collection....you will find a set of four pins with toppers you can customize, a thimble, thread spools, thread, tomato pincushion, scissors, and a nedle. Everything is perfectly designed so that they almost look real, especially the adorable scissors!!! The sentiments are both from the Sew Vintage stamp set and I just love how they work so perfectly with all of these sweet dies. I also tucked a Hoopla Mini in the right hand corner; the heart one, of course, to tie in the "love" theme. I used the Embroidered Background stamp for the base of the sewing box to give it some added detail and "sewing" charm. Here's a little peek at the process I used to allow me to get the pins on the pin card. Since they are actually paper, it was a little tricky to get them down the slits. I used my paper piercer to open the slits up a bit and then I put the pins in. I secured them in the back of the pin card using scotch tape. This is the same technique I used to get the needle into the spool of thread. My final card for today uses the AMAZING new Rose Tapestry Stencil collection...I stenciled everything in blues and greens and then used the Aida Cloth texture plate over the top. I was scared to try it for fear I would ruin the beautiful tapestry background, but I love the result. For this card I wanted to create an 'in-progress' type look. I chose to use the scissors, thread, and thimble as focal points and then the sentiment to reinforce the theme. I also used another Embroidered Bloom on the corner over the hoop for added detail. The sentiment is heat embossed in silver to accent the metallic paper used for the scissors, needle, and thimble. I chose to use Vintage Cream cardstock to use with the Tapestry Stencils....I felt it would give it a nice vintage look. I'm sure the other designers will showcase how these amazing stencils look without the Aida Cloth Texture Plate, but I just love the detail it give the card! This release is so much fun....everything will be available for purchase starting tomorrow at 10 am ET. Thanks for fluttering by! Angelica Dana Dawn Kelly (you are here) Laurie Melissa Wanda

I'm so glad you've joined me today! Welcome to day 1 of full reveals for the Harvest Fest Collection from The Greetery! You've come to the right place if you're searching for some autumn inspiration! This new collection is absolutely wonderful and I think you're going to love it as much as I do! Please head to The Greetery Blog for the official "meet and greet" for each of the featured products for today. Also, please make sure to leave a comment here, and on each designers' blogs, for a chance to be eligible to win one of TWO $50 gift certificates to the shop! My first card features the new Jumbo Curiosity: Acorn dies and the new Cinnamon sticks dies. I was thrilled to see these cute cinnamon sticks; I don't know if you remember when I made a a bunch of cinnamon sticks last winter for my wreath! ha ha! This will be so much easier to use in the future! I also snuck in the Jumbo Curiosity: Buckeye Leaf that was released last year for added autumn flair! To begin, I stamped the Sketched Wildflower Frame onto a panel of Vintage Cream cardstock. I used the Hoopla Oval Inserts Die to add texture inside the stamping. I used the largest size directly onto the stamped panel and then used the smaller sizes to create the focal oval for the acorns. The acorns, cinnamon sticks, and other leaves are all die cut from white cardstock and then colored using assorted Distress Oxide inks. I added a few more oak leaves from the BotaniCuts Mighty Oak die collection. I wanted some variation in sizes, so this was the perfect choice! I arranged all of the die cut elements on the stamped panel and then got to work on the sentiments. I used the beautiful new Thanks All Ways stamp set and die for this card. I heat embossed the "for who you are and all you do" portion in gold onto a strip of brown cardstock. The thankful portion is stamped in Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and then die cut using the Thanks All Ways die collection. I added some glitter for some sparkle and shine and then added it to a top-folding A2 Vintage Cream card base. I think Betsy really knocked it out of the park with this To Pie For die! I'm smitten!!! There are a few different options so you can make all kinds of pies for year-round fun! I chose to keep with the autumnal theme and created a Thanksgiving pie because it's just so classic! I'm itching to make a cherry pie, lemon pie, etc! I used the same background for this card as I did with the first. I just love the quick and easy detail it adds to the edges of a card! All of the pieces for the pie was die cut using the To Pie For die set out of white cardstock and then inked up using assorted Distress Oxide inks. This is one time that I have complete control over not having burnt edges on my pie! ha ha! As you can see, I used the same sentiment set for this card, but Betsy has come up with another sentiment set called Fall Foodie Phrases that incorporates some punny pie phrases that would work nicely as well! I used that set on my next project, so stay tuned! One of the things I like best about the new Thanks All Ways stamp set is that is has an assortment of curved sentiments that work perfectly over the tops of the different arched stamps/dies that have been released recently. As you can see, I chose to use one at the top of this card and then the remaining sentiment over the pie and at the bottom. I love a highly decorated pie, so I am glad that Betsy included the different leaves to decorate the edges or center of the pie. I chose to use some of the leaves in two of the corners in traditional fall colors for added detail and color! I added some sugary glitter to the pie and the the leaves for sparkle and shine! I have a feeling that Betsy is going to be showcasing a cute cherry pie...I can't wait to see! Eeep! The new Caramel Apple die is one of my absolute FAVORITES! There is a local ice-cream shop that carries caramel apples year-round so I like to give them as gifts. I particularly enjoy giving them to my boys' teachers, so you can guess where these two cards are headed! ha ha! These apples are so easy to make; I simple die cut everything from white cardstock and then colored the pieces using assorted Distress Oxide inks. The "caramel" portion got a generous amount of Nuvo Crystal Glaze for that realistic caramel look. Believe me, these look good enough to eat! My mouth is watering just thinking of a juicy caramel apple! My favorite is a Granny Smith apple with caramel. This card features the adorable new Nutty Bits on the caramel! It looks SOOO realistic, don't you think? Like I mentioned earlier, for the two cards I used the new Fall Foodie Phrases stamp/die set. I also used the new Herringbone Parquet die for the background of both of these cards! I know I'm going to have so much fun with this die! And how about a Halloween Candy Apple? This little tag features the new Apple Spice Bits and the new Tear Strip Tags Halloween stamp set! I was thrilled with this new addition to the Tear Strip Tags family! Well friends, this concludes day 1! I hope you've enjoyed things as much as I have! Make sure to head to the other designers' blogs to see what fabulous things they have come up with and to leave a comment to be eligible to win one of the two gift certificates! Thanks for fluttering by! P.S stop by tomorrow for day 2 of full reveals! Angelica Dana Dawn Kelly (you are here) Laurie Melissa Wanda
