I'm here today to bring you my card for the NEW challenge we have over at Just Add Ink Challenges - Just Add Ink #673 - Just Choose Two Challenge. Today for our Just Choose Two challenge (to choose two items to feature on your project) we are choosing from Doors, Windows and Flowers. Flowers was a given for me as I love creating with just about anything floral but my other item to feature was a bit harder to choose. I went with Window but not using an acual image of a window but making a window in my card by making a Split Window Card. I've used a Calypso Coral card base and then for the flower element I've used the Stampin' Up! Garden Wallk DSP. This is stunning DSP and there is something in it for everyone. The flowers around the side of the window have also been fussy cut from the Garden Walk DSP. I've finished off the card with the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon (which I cut in half), some Linen Thread and some Blooming Pearls. There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team on the JAI Blog. Go and check out to see what 'two' elements they all used this week and then while you are there you can see how you can enter your project. Can't wait to see what 'two' you used. One of the things Stampin’ Up! does so beautifully is designing classy, coordinating patterns for their designer series paper collections. At the top of your wish list should be Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper. It will fill your creative cup with a masterful mix of color and pattern for many occasions.
These cards are a blast to create, and so easy!! Grab a punch like the Stampin' Up! Labeled with Love punch or the Heartfelt Hexagon punch, and a piece of designer paper cut at 4' x 10-1/2', a 1/4 sheet of cardstock, and you are ready to go! Let me share 2 fun variations for each of these cards with you today! All Stampin' Up! supplies are listed at the bottom of this post. I've added the Fully Flowering Ephemera pack of floral die cuts to several of my cards today, including these cards featuring the Wildly Flowering DSP!!
Hi there stamping friends! Thanks for stopping here at my blog. Today I'm playing along with the sketch challenge over at the Global Design Project #446 | #GDP446 | Sketch Challenge. It's been a white since I've played along over at the GDP but was super keen to join their sketch challenge for this week. As soon as I saw the sketch over on Instagram I had a few ideas swirling around in my head. I had just recieved an order from Stampin' Up! a few days ago with the amazing Mediterannean Blooms Suite and knew that is what I wanted to use for my card today. I've predominantly used the Mediterranean Blooms DSP for this card. I'm so loving the blue and white DSP patterns and when you combine a couple of these patterns together they make for an amazing project. Doesn't the DSP look like those Mediterranean blue-and-white tile designs? I love it! On the other side of the blue and white DSP designs is are beautiful images of blossoming lemons and oranges. These citrus fruits make a beautiful contrast to the blue and white and are beautiful to fussy cut and use on their own, on the front of your card, like what I've done here. I've layered the lemon image on one of the Spotlight on Nature circles and a foliage die cut from the Citrus Blooms Dies. Due to the busy-ness of the amazing DSP I thought the card didn't need much else other than some Linen Thread, some Opal Rounds and the heat embossed Happy Birthday Sentiment that comes from the Friends for Life Stamp Set. Did I say I'm loving this DSP? I'm sure there will be more project using this stunning paper. Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping! Live in Australia? Hello and welcome my friends, My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia, I'm still on holidays and we are now on the Gold Coast, QLD for our family holiday reunion. Today, I'll be sharing with you another colour for Colour Creations blog hop and we are now at week 14 with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. The next colour is Bubble Bath, which is part of the Subtles Collection and I just had to create a card using this colour before I left Melbourne. Bubble Bath comes in Cardstock, Classic Ink Pad, Ink Refill, Embellishments, Designer Series Paper and other Stampin' Up! products. I went with a subtle look for Bubble Bath and created a shabby chic style card for this week's project. It's a pretty pink, I've paired it with Moody Mauve by stamping the roses from the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set and then die-cutting it out using the Layers of Beauty Dies. I used this fun technique that I learnt from Cindy Schuster over on Stamping Through the Catalog on Instagram, she made a beautiful card using Stampin' Blends as a paint brush to colour in the roses and only using minimal colour. It's very effective technique by using coloured shading where needed. I also used Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends for the leaves and a tiny bit of Moody Mauve for the center of the roses. The choice of Stampin' Up! designer series paper was a mix of Nature's Sweetness DSP; Country Woods DSP and Perennial Lavender DSP I just couldn't resist Crumb Cake gingham paper. I also stamped the roses onto the gingham paper in Crumb Cake. I like to rough up the paper by using the blade from the Paper Snips Scissors and run it along the edges of the paper. Another way to add interest is to tear up strips of paper and layer them over one another. Before I added the subtle roses onto the paper, I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies and die-cut out a paper ring using Basic White Cardstock. To finish off the card I used the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set for the sentiment, stamped it in Moody Mauve and fussy cut out the greeting. I also added a few of the Brushed Brass Butterflies to the card. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love to hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below. Now for the next blog please visit the very talented Andrea Sargent click on the link below. Finding time to stamp the last few days has been tough! I thought I was in good shape with Christmas stuff a week ago and now all of a sudden I seem to have a mile long to-do list! But I have so many new products I want to try out that I'm squeezing in a bit of stamping whenever I can! I used the CASE the designer challenge at Inspire.Create for my card today. Using the layout made this one come together quickly (except for the coloring!). I started with a Pebbled Path base then added a layer of Basic White. On the Basic White layer I arranged my strips of Nature's Sweetness DSP around the outside edges to make a nice little frame for he star of the show! I stamped the image in Pecan Pie then pulled out my colored pencils. The coloring really didn't take that long at all and before I knew it I had beautiful almond branch. Next it was die cut it and popped up on dimensionals on the card front. For the sentiment I wanted to try out the new Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder. This one has 10 different sentiments on it and comes with a large die that cuts out each of the sentiments as well a bunch of smaller dies that are shapes to accent the sentiments like hearts, stars and flowers. The neat thing about this hybrid design is that you can ink up the embossing folder with the new brayer and get a cool inked outline around the embossed words. I gave it a go and after a few practice tries with color/paper combos I got one I liked but it was a little stark so I ended up filling in the open space with my Pecan Pie light blends marker. I know I'll be using this set of products a lot in the coming months! The only embellishments that I thought this design needed were a few retired adhesive-backed speckled dots which go well with the green of the leaves. All of the current products used to make this card can be purchased in my ONLINE STORE. Products marked with a * will be available starting January 4, 2024. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Lovely & Sweet* Ink: Pecan Pie Colored Pencils: Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Calypso Coral Blends: Pecan Pie light Paper: Pebbled Path, Basic White, Nature's Sweetness DSP* Accessories: Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder/dies*, dimensionals, adhesive-backed speckled dots (retired)
