Hi friends! It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch! As always, you're free to play along with any papercrafting products your heart desires and enter as many creations as you like. Use the sketch as inspiration for your creation, then come link it up below so I can come take a look! The linky for this challenge will close on June 28 2020. I have included dimensions on the graphic later in this post, but feel free to change them up to suit your needs. My card started with these beautiful papers from the By the Sea collection. I picked a few papers and cut into various scraps and laid them out until I was happy with the layout. I then cut out a white circle for my focal panel and stamped with sentiments from the Thoughtful Words set. Below that I used one of the stamps from the Texture Tiles 3 set for the water, stamped in navy and then lightly blended with the same color of ink. The rope image is from the Peace Be Still set and I colored with copics and hand trimmed, adding some crystal clear lacquer pen accents to add a little dimension to it. The anchor is a wood veneer piece from my stash, I lightly brushed a ground espresso oxide pad over it then embossed with clear embossing powder for a little more texture. Everything is glued together on an A2 size card base. Alrighty, now it's your turn! I hope you enjoy creating with this sketch! Thanks so much for stopping by! Please join me for Mojo Monday! Click here to enter If you shop through the affiliated links below I get a small percentage of the sale price at no cost to you! It's not a lot, but it does help pay the monthly fees for the linkup widget for Mojo Monday and other web and email services that help me keep Mojo Monday running smoothly! Thanks so much! 💙

Some clever person has come up with a fantastic technique to colour your images so that the outline is barely visible. I think it gives a kind of painted look that reminds me a lot of decorative art. In the examples I saw, the artists all stamped their images with a very light coloured ink. I figured we could all do the same thing by printing our digital images in a very light grey tone. (There's a quick How To at the bottom of this post.) I really enjoyed this technique and loved the end result. I found that it's important to have a lot of contrast between the different layers of the picture so that each individual element stands out, particularly if they are the same colour group, such as the petals of the poinsettia. Give it a go... start simple and use a fairly large image so you can see what you're doing. Have fun! HOW TO: Open the image in Microsoft Word and resize it as desired. Right click the image and select Format Picture from the drop down menu that appears. On the left hand side of the next menu that appears, select Picture Colour then click Presets, which will bring up several different colours for your image. The fourth choice along is called Washout, that is what you want to select to get a very light line.
Cindy Hall created a fun sketch for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Rectangle, rectangle, band, oval. Of course you don't have to use those exact shapes, but I didn't steer very far from Cindy's sketch. Gave me a great opportunity to play with some new Halloween products. What fun!
Thanks, Julee T, for another fabulous Mojo Monday sketch (MOJO116). I needed a birthday card for my niece's husband. I thought these colors (Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie) were simply splashy for a festive, masculine card. Click here to see more of my masculine card samples.STAMPIN'

For a long time now, I’ve kept a wrapping box and handmade card file. It’s my gift giving go-to box filled with all kinds of pretty papers, ribbons, bows, cards and tags. You’d think that someone like me who loves the art of wrapping, would have a box overflowing with goodies…. but somehow that box had dwindled over time and when I needed a pretty gift tag this week, it was slim pickings!! So….. I quickly designed 3 watercolour rose tags that will be suitable for a variety of uses. Each tag measures 2.5” x 4.25” and is
Supplies needed: Masking tape, chalks, cotton wool balls, card stock Tear your masking tape into thin strips and stick on the card Once you have got your masking tape in a pattern you like, lift it off your work area and onto a piece of scrap paper, making sure it is firmly fixed Next apply the chalk in your preferred colour, ensuring you work it into the edges Cover the whole piece, you can use more than one colour if you wish Carefully peel off the masking tape ensuring that you don't touch the card stock Once you have peeled all the masking tape off, bang the card stock on your work area to get rid of the excess chalk You can spray your card stock with a cheap hairspray to set it, but personally I don't bother
