How to make a Bi-Fold Pocket Letter. I think these little Pocket Letters are nice for writing a new penpal. In these , there is plenty of room to include items about yourself in a creative, and fun way. I used a 12 X 12 inch piece of kraft paper and cut it to an A 5 size. This allows some scraps to make labels as you see "goodies" and "letters". I made the little "Hello" banner just using my circle punch and letter stamps and sandwitched them between a piece of twine. I made the large envelope on the left with a piece of scrap of paper, and the brown polkadot envelope was purchased. I think the rest is self-explanatory. Use whatever embellishments you have that are handy. I have a few more of these that I will be posting soon. Leave me a comment if you have made any of these, or other suggestions as to make first time letters to pen pals special. Happy Crafty Snail Mailing!

Each stationery set comes with a card, two notes, three labels and an envelope. You can see each of these sets below, complete with all seven pieces. The sets available are Frenchy, Mukluk, Sushi, Tajie, Nina, Bongo, Tiki, Poncho, Dutchy, Java, Tawni and Cairo. They are only grouped in pairs below to save space, but are sold individually on LD. Below is a sample of one stationery set similar to what you will get from LD. You will simply print, trim, fold, and glue the pieces. The only thing left to do is write to your pals and send. Please note, these envelopes cannot be sent in the mail as is, they are legally too small, and of course the free postage stamps cannot be used for actual postage. They are just for cuteness sake. :) Above is a sample of the Mukluk set; trimmed, folded, and ready for use. I also have a freebie to share! It is a set of twelve postage stamps to complete the sets. The postage stamps are designed to match the wee kids, and you can download them free here or at my U-Pick sign (at right, then choose the file title WeePostageStamps) to help decorate your wee envelopes. You can reduce the file before printing to 50% to get a traditional stamp size, or keep the art at full size as a mini global gallery or other crafting projects. Sample of free wee postage stamps (above); you must click on my U-Pick sign (at right) to download the file. Head on over to LD to get these darling pen pal sets from the twelve global kids and share the joy of letter writing on mini cards and stationery. Think of it as a mini break from typing and texting, but an enjoyable one for you and your recipients!
Hi, everyone! Today I am sharing something a little different using the brand new and stunning New Day collection by Dear Lizzy! A tiny Happy Mail! Flipbooks or, pocket letters, are such a wonderful surprise to find in the letterbox or under the Christmas tree these days! ...and there’s nothing more fun to create either! Here’s a recent pocket letter I’ve created for someone super sweet…. I can not even begin to explain my love for this collection. From the bright colors to the cute embellishments, to the fact that it's totally perfect for everyday occasions... the best gift for every crafty friend! I’ve selected the pattern paper, Mindful for the base of my mail as I just adore both sides of it! Hard to tell which is the B side – it’s divine! The pom-pom tassel I added to the front is just adorable, and I completed with two others I created using wood veneers and cardstock sticker. Let’s take a peak inside now... I’ve created a couple of pocket strips and envelopes to hold the happy mail sweet treats. Here’s what’s underneath all those goodies… I filled the pockets with tiny puffy stickers, ephemera pieces, and layered stickers. You’ll also spy lots of pretty layered clips, and a few layered stickers and chipboard stickers on the interactive pages too! I wanted to add a whole sheet of enamel dots to my happy mail (they are so cute with the triangle shape), so I created a tag, and adhered the sheet to the front. Such a fabulous and fun way to celebrate and cheer up friends! In the last section, I taped in a little shaker pocket full of sequins and wood veneer pieces that I made using an old Project Life page protector and my WRMK fuse tool. And there you have it! Happy Mail that’s guaranteed to bring a smile :) Hope this post has got you inspired to create a little extra love for the mailbox this week and share the scrapbooking love with your friends! Thanks for stopping by today!
