As a sales coordinator I work in the office the entire week. That is why I use every single free minute to travel to beautiful places all over the world.
When I currently walk with my dog on this dike (Holthuizerdijk or Huissense Dijk) along the Immerloo Park (Arnhem, the Netherlands), I see this meadow with horses and lots of Cow Parsley (or Wild Chervil, Wild Beaked Parsley or Keck) and the Holthuizer Kolk (the pond) in the background. Wanneer ik met mijn hond over de Holthuizer- of Huissense Dijk loop langs het Immerloo Park in Arnhem-Zuid zie ik momenteel dit weiland met paarden en ook veel fluitenkruid. Op de achtergrond ligt de Holthuizer Kolk, ontstaan in 1651 na een dijkdoorbraak. Een kolk (ook: wiel, waai en weel) is de aanduiding voor een type oppervlaktewater. Langs rivier- en zeedijken zijn kolken de overblijfsels van oude dijkdoorbraken. Bij hoog water ontstonden diepe gaten door het rondkolkende water. Om de kolk werd dan een nieuw stuk dijk gebouwd. De restanten van de kolken zijn nu vaak kleine, diepe poelen.

I have created these cards to assist in building basic vocabulary for animals that would fit into a farm theme. These cards cover some of the following information: Masculine, feminine and diminutives (cow, sheep, chicken, goose, horse, goat, pig) Collective nouns (cow, sheep, chicken, goose, horse, goat, pig) Basic products we get from the animal (cow, sheep, pig, goat, goose, chicken) These cards can be used in a variety of ways. Examples include Matching, sorting and memory games Reading & flashcards. Stick them back to back and bind them together with a metal ring. Children can use them to learn and test new vocabulary. I recommend printing these out on light card and laminating them for durability. I have created a set of posters that can be used together with these cards.
