Sunday night is a busy TV night at Chez Suzy. My boyfriend and I have at least four shows that we record (Shameless, Californication, Once Upon a Time and Downton Abbey) so it's telling that when it's time to hit play on the DVR his vote is always to watch Downton first. At first look, Downton--which airs its season two finale tonight—doesn't scream "guy show." There's a soapy quality to it (gossip! cheating! a secret wife!) and the fashion has its own supporting role, but it's high quality as far as storylines and talent with one Oscar winner on the cast (Dame Maggie Smith) and another on the way for season three (Shirley MacLaine).
